Chris Crosby in Half a sixpence

Yesterday afternoon I went to the Churchill Theatre in Bromley to see "Half a Sixpence"
I am a fan of Gary Wilmott and think he is a brilliant song and dance man and have seen him in many shows which was my main reason for going.
I was very pleased to see in my programme before the show that Chris Crosby was in the show and he is also the understudy for Gary wilmot

Chris was brilliant and your eyes were drawn to him on the stage.

I am so pleased he is doing so well after his short appearance on "Any dream will do" and he made show even better for me

I have now seen Craig Chambers, Chris Barton and now Chris Crosby and it is great to see they are all doing well since their appearance on "Any dream will do" and hope this is the start of great thing for all of them.

All I need to do now is see Lee Mead and my year will be complete.

Hi Jillykins

Thanks for posting this - it is nice to hear what Chris is up to. What sort of role was he playing?

I think you have probably now seen more former Josephs than most of the rest of us! Do you have tickets to see Lee?

We also saw the show in Bromley and what a great night.

Chris really stands out - his voice is very strong in the harmonies and you are certainly drawn towards him every time he is on stage. We were impressed by his dancing ability and he has a great smile.

No doubt he would relish the chance to take the lead.

Here are the rest of the tour dates - well worth a visit if it comes close to you:

Thanks for posting this. IMHO Chris Crosby should never have gone out in the first week.

Chris C last night stepped to play the lead and took it all in his stride to please a very full theatre in Woking. You wouldn't think that at just 19 he could pull the audience in who had arrived expecting to see Gary Wilmot.

A rapturous applause marked the end of a great performance. The highlight was a wonderful performance of the powerful 'What Should I feel ' which brought the house down!

Well Done Chris

PS. Two more shows today as Gary is still indisposed.

'Half a sixpence' with Gary Wilmott - and I assume Chris C too - will be at the Mayflower Theatre in Southampton, 21 - 26 April 2008

Hope to see this as well Sarah - there's so much good stuff to do isn't there. Knew Chris C was in it but didn't realise he was understudy. Well done it seems. I could soon be another one hiding the credit card statements.

Too much too do! My problem is I am very very fickle.... tonight was all about my piccie with the Pharaoh... got it, and then no sooner had I said goodbye that Keith came out and it was Wayne who!

Chris C was one of favourties in the earlier episodes of ADWD, and I don't think he should have been in the bottom 2 the first week, there were others who were worse.... but still he's doing great!
