With reception problems, I've had the same experience with DAB radio's and normal ones.

Going under bridges, etc will result in loss of signal.

However, the vast choice of station's makes up for it.

It really depends where you live. If you're near a transmitter it will be pretty solid, if you're in the Outer Hebrides you probably won't get anything.

If you mean personal rather than portable, the Pure PocketDAB 1500 has a rechargeable battery pack that's claimed to give 24 hours' use between charges.

Got one of these recently. Excellent as long as the signal's good.... Obviously.

The battery life is also surprisingly good.

It's surprisingly good - I can get around 18 hours out of the battery, and the commercial stations work fine round here with few drop outs..

I have had the pure pocket dab for a while now and the battery life is very good
