Both! Phil is hot, but I shall have to reserve judgement on Jack for the time being.

Phil would be jealous as Jack would get all the air time from the girls.

Jack Branning spoiler:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jack the (Bad) Lad

Here's the first sighting of Scott Maslen as new Eastenders heartthrob Jack Branning, arriving in Walford for nephew Bradley's wedding to Stacey Slater. Scott quit The Bill to play the role of Max's brother, but we've heard it's not going to be a happy family reunion for the Branning Boys.

Jack is a nasty, racist bully, who was thrown out of the police force because of his ugly prejudice. Max struggles to hide his antipathy towards his boorish brother - and he really bristles when, as soon as he arrives in Albert square, Jack sets his sights on Ronnie Mitchell. Jack however, is undeterred and pursues the vic vixen - but as he get's closer to Ronnie, he unwittingly exposes a secret from her past that could threaten both families...

Looks unlikely that he will appear next week, there hasn't been anything on the TV magazines. Maybe it could be the week after next week or someime in October.

In your opinion, it's crap but you are entitled to it. I don't know how good Scott will be as I don't watch the Bill but I'm looking forward to him coming to EE. I can imagine he will be a Steve Owen type bad boy rather than a Grant or Dennis type.

Scott is nothing like Steve, very different.

Yeh I don't think he will be like Jase, but a bit more like Sean in character. I'm guessing anyway. The difference with Scott on The Bill is that he was a baddie (kind of) when he first came into the show in 2002 but then went a bit more of the butt of the joke and then being very funny even though he does do things differently in cases. He is a great character though so I'm sure Jack will be too
