Not really, most people who watch The Bill never thought so, it's only some people who never watched the Bill have seen him for the very first time in EE, already judge a character, they need to give the guy a chance to settle down. His acting style is very different though.

I know, everyone is writing him off before he's even settled in. They're saying he has no character, but people should be given a chance!

He's only been in say 9 episode all together, he was very good when he returned last Friday and when he first came, perhaps some of the lads are a bit envy of Jacks looks. He was twice nominated for best actor award in National Television award, if he was that bad then the judges wouldn't of nominated him.

However, maybe the people on this forum are just a bit too fussy. In Inside Soap on the letters page everyone loves Jack, and I think I/S represent the public far better than the internet!

Just give another couple of months for EE to develop Jacks character, than perhaps everyone may change their opinion of him.

how about bobby davro beforen he joined no one liked him but now people are starting to like him I like scotts acting plus i have never watched the bill so i cant comment about jack branning and phil hunter being similar.

I dont understand, Phil Hunter was a full-time police detective, In EE Jack is a retired Police Detective and now a Business man, how is the two different characters similar.
