N73 question....
.....
I have an N73. Tonight my daughter sent me a text asking for her brothers mobile number. With the other Nokia phone I had before all I had to do was press reply by text then go to options and press on insert then look for the mobile number I needed and press OK. The n73 doesn't appear to have this function and will only let me insert templates (!). Am I doing something wrong? I had to write her brothers number down then type it in. Seems a right faff for such a modern phone. |

i also remember this option, and have not seen it in any recent phones. Another option i miss on new nokia phones especially is the birthday mode in calendar where it would ask you for the dob and every year would tell you how old the person would be... handy seeing i always forget how old my brothers are

To the OP, the easiest way to do this is to go to contacts, scroll to the contact you want to send, press options, scroll down to send. The phone will give you a list of different ways to send the contact information.

You're a genius!! Do you know if a business card counts as one text or is like a MMS and use 4 normal messaging units? Thanks Ann |

![]() The other poster got it spot on. I'm not sure how many texts it uses to do it but it works LOL. I too miss the birthday reminders and I have to use my brain to work everybodies age out. Bah. PMSL. Ann |

Thanks Ann You can also send items from your calendar like this. (For example, a reminder of a birthday) |

Talking of Birthdays, there is a program called Best Birthday for series 60, which adds the sort of thing you wanted.
There is a free demo of it on My-Symbian.com |

Thats strange, i just installed this program today.. but it didnt work. Everytime i would go to load contacts it would come back saying no data after asking about 4 times if it was ok to read user data?
Started entering manually, then lost them all by clicking on load contacts again by mistake so gave up and uninstalled. I wish the reminder was on the calendar as it used to be on the old 6230 etc phones |

Something to try. In App Manager, highlight the program, press Options, select Suite Settings. Check that Read User Data is set to Ask First Time.
