But, with rights come responsibilities.
The classic example is shouting 'Fire!' in a crowded cinema.
Your 'right to freedom of speech' may entitle you to do that.

I don't think it would be a responsible thing to do. So, based on that, I can see why we need a balance between 'rights' and 'responsibilities' (with the latter, IMO, carrying more weight).

jim was totally out of order. he started it all. he spent all day being horrible to adelle as well cos she's female. just because you don't understand someone does not mean you should demean them and continually make snide comments. the man has no social graces and no respect for others. (and he's not funny)
Did anyone in all of this not just call Jim a wife beating scumbag? I'd have more respect for that person than the person who plays victim and has everyone comforting him.

So Davidson…once the “lovable” and acceptable face of primetime TV….was caught making homophobic and unacceptable comments…no surprise there….on a primetime ITV programme ? 
His whole “act” was out-of-date about 15 years ago ! Like the rest of the D-listers on the show, he probably only went on in the futile hope of rebuilding his career ! Thankfully he’s been found....still the makers of the programme probably only asked him knowing what would happen
Strange thing is that if he’d been younger, female, considered attractive and had breasts implants he may have gotten away with it !!
With those particular assets he’d have been able to play the “I’m ignorant because I’m so very young and naive” card ! Yes in similar circumstances some have been rewarded !!
