Nokia 6288 problem
Hi all
I wasn't sure whether this was the correct place to post queries, due to it maybe being more discussion-related, but I conceded that after all, it was a mobile phone subforum, so all aspects are hopefully considered.Anyway, I have a problem with my Nokia 6288, and I wondered if anybody could help me? Basically, I bought it towards the end of July, and have had no problems with it up to now (apart from a seemingly sticky slider which was apparently fine upon inspection in a shop). The long and short of it is, the camera refuses to work now. I have a 2GB mini SD card in it, which is not even a quarter full (85MB ish) so it's not a case of lack of memory, and also, the battery life is fine - it's like this even when full. It goes onto the camera, but when I try to take a picture, it starts to save for a millisecond, then says 'Camera on standby'. It's like this for recording video too. I wondered whether downloading the firmware update from Nokia.com was the best way to go about rectifying this, or whether it's the sort of problem that needs to be fixed manually. I understand this has happened to other Nokia users, from reading things on the net? Any advice is welcome - I don't know what to do with it! ![]() Thanks. |

i would always make sure it has the latest firmware from the nokia update site first (as this is the 1st thing a repair center will try)
also you could try a reset type *#7780# but back up what you want to save 1st if no good try this power off - hold 3, green call and * - power on while holding all buttons untill it says formatting |
