absolutely. what ladies of refined taste we have on this thread. MPW is definitely the type i go for. my partner (or should i say coyly, fiance) is a burly gruff no nonsense yorkshireman with curly hair (yes, he uses fudge hair putty) and a heart of gold. only he hates thatcher and is planning a dancing on thatcher's grave party with his mates when she pops it. a dismal woman, responsible for much suffering and destruction in this country.

still, regarding MPW liking thatcher, you can't be that hot and not have some faults, can you? anyway, his autobiography, the devil in the kitchen, arrived from amazon yesterday so i shall be reading it forthwith. maybe you should get it too, ladies, then we can compare notes

I'm already halfway through it. I went out specially to get it, so I'm first in the Marco queue!

You know you've got it bad when you constantly make excuses for the love object's awful friends.

I am going into town after work, I wonder how much his bio is in Waterstones..? I know it's £4.99 on amazon.

Much like the above poster, my OH is a gruffy unkept looking thing, but he's a big softie. If he finds out I have a thing for MPW though I'll get laughed out of the house.

I think there's going to be a big increase in sales of his autobiography following the show.

I read this interesting article on the Daily Mail website. I wonder if he has mellowed in his old age.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/liv...n_page_id=1879

I thought this was an interesting way to greet the journalist

Quote:
“When a stale, bleary-eyed Marco finally appeared as if straight off a mattress, his wild appearance was enough to terrorise an adult, let alone a toddler. And his entrance was without apology or greeting.

"You know we're going to f**k, don't you?" were his first words to me, I kid not (of course, we didn't - the twit was only trying to shock.)”

He wants to watch who he says that to. 'Trying to shock' indeed, I'd be suing him for breach of promise if he didn't come across with the goods.

I think I may be guilty of starting the downward spiral - apologies

Perhaps we need a Marco Appreciation thread

I wonder if we'll see this on tonight't show?

Bl**dy Toby Anstis, anything for a bit of extra TV coverage

http://www.itv.com/Entertainment/rea...y/default.html

There's also a very funny new video up on the ITV1 site of Marco in his office assembling the lobster cocktails (different from the one shown last night). He's like a mad professor ..lol.

The others are saying how much he's taken on and he's being run ragged.

when i said "general discussion thread" i meant, of course, "waxing lyrical about MPW thread". that's reasonably general

i've never met gordon ramsey so i'm loathe to judge, but swearing with class is an art form and he isn't classy when he says the f word. and he's not an artist imo, whereas MPW is.

my OH knows i've had a thing about MPW for over 20 years now, i remember people talking about him in london in the 80s.

but then, i don't get offended that the OH fancies kylie, i mean, which normal man wouldn't? i think it's fine to admit you admire or are attracted to other people. it doesn't mean you'd want to share a life with them, after all. MPW is a high maintenance bloke, i couldn't possibly settle down with someone like him. my OH says that i'm high maintenance (which i am - emotionally, not financially) ) and there's only room for one high maintenance person in a partnership.

hey i just read MPW's wiki entry. oooooh he had an affair with mariella frostrup. she's fab i've got a huge amount of respect for her. martine mccutcheon though...eh? what's all that about then? there's nowt as queer as folk.

Double post.

OH thinks I'm weird as is, I have a strange grey hair fetish, and my tastes seem to be getting older and older. I'm 22, and my main celeb crush is Jose Mourinho All my friends laugh, until I point out Johnny Depp is practically the same age!!

I thought that too about Martine McC. MPW doesn't seem to take kindly to "common" people... MMcC made a career out of it!

I don't see the Martine McCutcheon connection either I also read that he had a "delicious fling" (her words) with model Marie Helvin.

I'm just waiting to read about his passionate affair with diamond1 from the DS forums

I bet that hair belonged to Adele. I don't know why she is allowed to have her hair tied at the front.

I've got my lipgloss on already, ready and waiting in anticipation of him draped across the pass

You would think they would have to, but if Marco get's away without having to wear one, then I guess they can

*Trying not to think of Marco in a hairnet*

Evening ladies.

Abbey's hair was properly tied back, but Adele's long fringe just hangs there, waiting to fall. Marco's hair is tied down (oooh) by that napkin he wears, so is probably safe. The thing is though that people forget that even short male hair falls out too (I say this as a long haired female person who gets fed up with erroneous hair-in-food claims!).
