when i was helping out at my best mates' catering business over the summer, everyone had to have their hair tied back, including the blokes. i was supplying the business with my chocolate tarts and one day, whilst i was working on baguettes (making them up into sandwiches for takeways) one of the staff who was serving brought me back a chocolate tart, saying that a customer had returned it because it had a hair in it.

well when i plated the slices of tart up they did not have any hairs on, so it must have come from someone who was serving customers. it was short and brown, ie from one of the blokes. it really bugged me that i was getting the blame. hairs are a constant problem in kitchens but they're not the end of the world ffs. i like the way MPW stays cool about customer complaints, actually.

anyway, just wanted to get that off my chest

There is a short clip on the ITV1 site already called something like Mad Marco turns his office into a greenhouse. They also have the VT of when Fern Britton was there and all the women were drooling over him - the one with the Barry White song Deeper and Deeper playing

like the other gals, i loved last night's VT of him haring round the kitchen. in fact, there was much more kitchen action in general last night which made it imo one of the best shows of the series. poor old anneka though, i do have a soft spot for her. i'm a bit like her, sometimes my mind goes completely blank and i end up standing there staring into space. not good for working in a kitchen.

The producers should really show more of Marco than anyone else, the rest of the zelebs are just not important in this series.....hell we're talking about Marco Pierre White here!!!

Also somehow I think this could be just a one-off gig for MPW.

Either way HK series 3 must take advantage of focusing on Marco as it's not often the public have the chance of seeing MPW on tv or indeed in the media, apart from when he's pictured going to court for some reason or another!

I agree with you about Marco hardly getting proper time on camera. I hope he'll stay on for another series though I like his masterclasses as well

I knew about him because of his reputation for being a wild man. I remember all the fuss and bother about his second marriage to Lisa Butcher, when he thought that her wedding dress was inappropriate.

I thought he would be a right b*st*rd but he is being lovely with the contestants.

How did he manage to shout six oysters, six times - I can't say it more than twice, it's such a tongue twister.

It was so adorable when he was singing in his office about how he loved lobster or cocktails or something!

I love the stern look he gives people who come up to him at the pass. It makes me feel a bit funny

I saw Anneka on This Morning today and they were asking her about that awful Matt. They were all saying what a bully he was and Anneka said he was like that with all the girls but not the boys.

I wish Marco would have a word with him.
