Suggested phone/tariff choice?
I am looking for a cost effective tariff that will give me a decent data allowance which doesn't block voip traffic? I also need a phone from which I can make voip calls and supports high speed data applicable to the relevant network/tariff.
I've looked at T-Mobile Web'n'Walk Max - c£50-£55pcm so far (not sure about phone choice) but just wondered if I had alternatives? Thanks in advance, Paul |

Not 100% sure - I can't find whether its NOT allowed in the Terms & Conditions - but 3 offer a £10 mobile broadband package on top of any other tariff (even those at £15).
In fact, they offer a £5 XSeries Silver add-on for 'Unlimited' handset web-browsing and while I haven't been able to confirm for sure, there's nothing that states "No VoIP". They even offer a (presently Cut-down) version of Skype. I've been calling me other half, handset to handset, for free for AGES now! |

In fact, I've just installed truphone VoIP on my Nokia N95 and it's worked perfectly fine with the £5 X-Series Silver add-on.

So, on an 18 month contract, £25 will get you 500 Mins, 100 texts, unlimited handset web (seemingly including VoIP) and a Nokia 6120 - a fab little Symbian Series 60v3 handset more than capable of running VoIP - at 3.5G speeds too.
£20 will get you 250 mins, 50 texts & unlimited handset web (18month contract again). £33 will get you an AMAZING N95, 750 mins, 150 texts & Unilimited Handset Web. |

It seems that 3 have not removed the SIP functionality from the N95 like Voda & orange have.
Not sure about the 6120, but a 3rd party app should side-step it anyway. |

Ah - TBH I totaly forgot about 3!
This sounds really good though, tvm for the advice. I will look into this with great interest... Sounds like a bargain compared to the T-Mobile deal too
