Orange Text Trigger online PAYG tariff
Tenacious Pee

Can anyone shed some light on this for me.

I'm on the text trigger online PAYG tariff with orange, i have credited £10 to my account, when do i get my 300 free texts.

And is it possible to check the remaining text balance, my wife has a similar deal on O2 and she can check the balance by dialing 4444, but on orange 453 it doesnt give the text allowance, and i dont know if i've got it yet because i am getting charged for texts.

Any Help Thanks

You should get the texts within 72 hours. When they have been applied you will be able to check the balance by dialing 453. I have just done this, has anyone else noticed the computer voice speed is all screwed up?

This is not correct, you top up this month and receive the free texts next month. A lot of people have been caught out by this.

Well if that is the case, I stand corrected .
When I switched to this tariff, I had to wait a month, and told by the Indian call centre staff, everybody waits 30 days
Another case of Orange not reading from the same book.

Well it sounds screwed. Especially when you dial 453, and get the old voice saying, 'Hello your remaining credit is...' and then the new voice cuts in... Sounds like the old voice sped up... Listening more closely you can tell it is a new voice. Sounds pants.

O2 and Orange pay as you go are complete rip offs, charging 40p per minute to call other networks. I thought the calls were just 15p per minute, but I then realised that only applies for Speakeasy with bonus top up text reward and no Free text trigger.

You get 15p per min to other networks with Free Text Trigger as well. It says on the site: http://shop.orange.co.uk/shop/payasyougo and I have only ever been charged 15p a min.
