Is my Humax on it's way out?

Has anyone else encountered this problem?

I have set the timer on my Humax to switch on at 18.00 so that when I get home from work it is ready to watch with the EPG populated.

Two days ago, on switching on the TV, the picture was odd to say the least. Hard to describe, but it looked like it had been badly chroma-keyed with psychedelic colours and fuzzy images.
On switching the box off and on again using the remote it was ok, the same thing happened again yesterday.
All the recordings made during the time the box was in standby mode are ok and playback perfectly.

The Humax is about 2 years old and has been trouble free for ages since the last OTA update.

Any ideas anyone?

Try wiggling the SCART connectors at each end to ensure they are properly seated?

Thanks, I've tried that and it made no difference.
Only turning it off and back on again seemed to do the trick.

It'll still be in warranty - just - get it replaced.

Will do if it keeps happening.
I was just curious to know if anyone else had come across this as I haven't seen this sort of problem reported anywhere else.

Me either. You might want to try the box with a different telly, to check it's not the tv at fault.

Thanks for the input.
I have now discovered it IS the TV at fault.

I was misled into thinking the Humax was playing up due to several unrepeatable coincidences, when I rebooted the Humax at exactly the same time the TV decided to start displaying the picture correctly.
