w850i Fault.
Lila

My SE w850i is 8 months old and the last 4 wks or so it has taken to switching itself off when I slide it back down and now the last couple of days when I slide it either way. Especially when I am playing music on the Walkman. A few times recently I have just glanced at my mobile and realised it is off so it is just going off by itself aswell now. Also when I insert or take out the charger and earphones its doing this.

Obviously I am going to have to ring about getting it sorted but I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced this or any other problems with this model?

Also, I have never dealt with Orange yet on the subject of faulty handsets so is it likely it will be sent away for repair(which I could do withut right now) or will they just replace it?

Thanks.

I have a similar problem with my W850, it only happens when I close the slider in a "rough" manner, if I do it gently it's fine. If you take the phone to an Orange shop and it's a contract phone they should at least give you a "loaner phone" and send yours off for repair from there. Of course, when I did this the loaner was a rubbish phone that I wouldn't be seen dead with!
