Jvc telly fault
Any ideas I have a jvc telly the av-25gs1ek model it cracks then switches off after 30mins to 1 hour very anoying
I have an electronics backround but not with Tv so could do repair if I new what was causing it or throw it in the skip any tips don t say buy a new one cant afford it at the moment thanks

Could be one of many things, if you don't know what you're looking for then it's going to be very hard for you to fault find it.
Remember also that TVs can contain lethal voltages for days after disconnecting from the mains. |

If it's a loud (quite scary) crack, it could be the line transformer, with the high voltage arcing out of the side - if so, it's likely to take other things out if you keep using it.

then the picture and sound go out and you cant put it on from standby unless you switch it off for a time I do have some experiance with the electrics of a tv I have repaired them on a course I did about 10 years ago but never kept it up so quite rusty but confident |
