if i connect a toshiba hd1 hi def dvd player to the epson tw20 projector via componant leads does anybody know if the picture would be displayed in hi definition or just a normal componant input.
the picture quality is far better than s video input which i was using before. |

Going by the online specs this projector will only do 480p max. It does say it can accept higher resolutions, but will obviously have to scale them down to the projectors native resolution.

The projector only has a resolution of 854 x 480 (widescreen NTSC equivalent) so the answer is no. You WILL get an image though.
The image may, however, be a bit better as it would be a component input as opposed to S-Video which I don't think qualifies as component. It won't be much better, and may be worse if the projectors scaler is not very good. |
