Enjoyed that pro Waltz routine to Seal with Valentina & Partner, but why does every ballroom dress on DWTS have to be backless down to the bum? A more dignified and classy dress to match the beautiful dancing would've worked for me.
There wasn't enough dancing in hold for me although it quite nice

Really interesting feature about the music!

Who knew they only got the choices/CDs after the Results show for the following week!? I thought at least the pros chose it themsleves, but no. Think it's very different over here though.

Re Karina & Maks's Rhumba, I can appreciate she is technically a good dancer, but I just don't like her, sorry.

Granted her whiney voice gets on my last nerve and not a great personality, but.....Slavik and Karina dancing together, just breathtaking passion

So they are bringing back the Viennese Waltz, they haven't done that for ages.
Will be interesting to see what songs they have for the Paso

Ooooh VW & Paso next week! Looking forward to it.

Hope it's not the Smooth VW but the proper one.

Farewell Cheryl and Wayne, dignified till the end, thought the departing song "Had a Bad Day" was a bit off.

Night all, enjoyed your company, see you next week for our thru the night tryst!

I noticed that Helio always looks down and closes his eyes almost grimacing when the judges give the scores and this time when he's under the spotlight...

Ah, really gutted, not for Wayne, but for Cheryl. I really think that Cheryl brings a bit extra than the others to the show. Still will hopefully get to see her in the professional dances from now on and she can enjoy a well-earned rest.

I've only seen a Group VW, like we had for series 2, with all couples on the floor waltzing round and putting each one in the spotlight for a few highlight moves. Didn't see any fleckerls though, that was the season with Rod Stewart's ex-wife, the one who came over to dance with Brendan.
Don't know if they've ever done it as an individual dance though? I'm pretty sure we'll get the Smooth version though, with breaks in hold and side by side moves, doubt very much they'll be in Waltz hold face to face for the duration.

bigtoe - you're quite right, Julianne is a great girl, but needs to start showing a bit of humility and tone it down a bit. All the "bam bam 3 9s, we are gonna win!" stuff may be putting some people off.

Tom mentioned last night also that Carrie-Ann will join Bruno for their version of DanceX, with Drew presenting. I wonder if Derek will again be doing the choreo? Maybe they'll expand the sibling Hough rivalry and have both D & J? That would be fun! Or possibly in America they actually expect Carrie-Ann and Bruno to choreograph the teams themselves if they're fronting the show?

Overall DWTS is waaaay better than SCD currently, both in terms of presenting, and quality of dancing. I still love our Pros more though.

I'm going to have a good session on youtube tonight, and really watch their dancing properly.

Yeah, there was a group V Waltz in season 2 but they've never done it as an individual dance before.

I kind of disagree. Here in the UK, yes, you should show some humility. But there in the US, people are driven and to be shown to be driven is a positive trait, even for women.

Still, I hope she won't go beyond that and becomes arrogant towards her partner and pushes him too much (actually Helio might push himself beyond his limits, as evidenced by the jive training) or starts to pooh-pooh other dancers. Okay, her quips with her brother Derek is different, after all siblings normally don't get along, do they?

oh my god melb is really brilliant on this. she's surprised me, a pity she isn't on the uk version, wonder if she'd be as disliked as emma was by the public, although there can't be any arguements about mels high scores, she really does deserve them.

Wade Robson is choreographing and performing in this coming week's results show, apparently! It's meant to be Wade and eight of his dancers.

I'm very excited, I adore Wade.
