I just really don't like watching Sabrina dance - certainly didn't think it was worth 10s!

See I though Helio and Julianne had a lift in their jive but nothing was said. And I'm sure the same thing happened last year I think it was Apollo and Julianne but I could be wrong.
The critique by the judges on DWTS seem to be so inconsistent, especially from Carrie Anne, she seems to be getting a lot of stick from her performance last week on the lift issue. Now that Len has spoken about them not tollerating any more lifts it will be interesting to see what happens in coming weeks. Will the pro's risk putting lifts in hoping they will be brushed over by the judges.

It will also be interesting to see how Sabrina copes with a slower, controlled dance (I understand she's doing the rhumba). There's something about her that just irritates me.

I didn't either, to me she's a bit like a bull in a china shop, she seems too heavy footed and a bit frantic.

That's why I've never enjoyed Hip-Hop.

Me neither La Rhumba. To me Sabrina's dancing is quite masculine, there's a lot of power there but not a lot of femininity and grace. Let's see if she does a butch Rhumba

Me neither. Usually even if I don't like a couple I can usually see why others like them. Last season I wasn't a huge fan of Apollo's - I preferred both Laila and Joey, but could see why other like him. But with Sabrina can't see what all the fuss is about!

I love watching Sabrina dance but can't stand listening to her big gob, so as soon as she's finished dancing I FF to the judges & then the scores! (I also don't watch her VT either which is a shame cos I quite like her partner).
I love Jane's ballroom she is just so elegant.
Glad Floyd went as it made me uncomfortable to watch him dance with his sticky-out bum, (I must confess to FF his dance half way through this week ).
Marie is starting to get on my nerves now & what was with all that rolling head stuff? A bit OTT imo. Does she collect dolls or something? creepy!
Cameron's body is just lush - his bum is an entity of its own, beautiful (now I know why the lads watch for Kelly on SCD).
Quite like Samantha but I liked her stand-in too, lbh anyone is better than our double-act .
(I hope moonlight or whatever her name is is not around or she'll be diss-ing me for being ageist again ).

She doesn't collect dolls jacquiann, she actually has her own range of the creepy things, I think she sells them on American QVC

I'm gutted that this isn't on terrestrial or Freeview - can't believe I'm missing it all! Anyone know if there's any plans to show it on BBC like the last series? Thanks.

Not this season, but maybe next year?

I also don't get this channel, so I watch all the dances on Raphael's brilliant web site. They are usually all there by Wednesday (so before they are broadcast in the UK).

http://journals.rpungin.fotki.com/dwts/

(Roll down and you can see all the dances from all the different series).

Although my first reaction to "Supercam" was "oh no - cheese alert" - I loved it and was so glad the judges asked to see it again!

Before my sister died she collected dolls and had a couple of the Marie Osmond ones. They aren't creepy or cheap.
I kinda like her - suppose she reminds me of my younger days! I remember singing one of her songs in a talent contest when I was about 15 or 16 - didn't win though!

Thanks for the link - I keep forgetting to watch and then last night was the rugby.

I've just been watching my favourite favourite favourite, lovely little Apolo again. I'd not seen him doing the jive before. Great stuff.

I really liked it too - it wasn't maybe the best dance, but it did entertain! The music is evocative too!

Felt bad for Mel B being in the bottom two, dancewise she didn't deserve it, but not entirely surprised;

1. She is putting in solid performances and landing in the upper midpoint with the judges - prime danger zone going into the vote.

2. She's not that well known compared to most of the rest, because she's British. OK, so is Jane Seymour, but she's lived in the US for years, whereas Mel has only recently gone there - and any American Anglophiles probably consider Jane's accent and demeanour as more typically British/English too. Plus, Helio (the only other non-American?) will be known because of his career, and also he's with a very popular pro.

Sorry, think that may be a bit wrong! A Spice Girl not well known??? Im American and know all my friends & famiy know them!!
I thought she was good enough last night, but walking on and off the dance floor - to take one of the judges comments about her mouth a bit further - she was walking in that beautiful dress like a truck driver! I reallu didn't think she quite got the graceful bit down. Her other dances were much better!
Glad shes stilll in tho. Couldn't stand the boxer.

I think Sallyforth was meaning compared to most of the other contestants. Also she hasn't done much since the Spice Girl's so isn't in the public eye as much (well apart from having Eddy Murphy's baby)

Just looking at some video's on YouTube this afternoon and I came across this that someone has done with Maks and Laila's Rumba last season. I loved that dance, but here someone has done it in slow motion to "Let's Get It On".

I thought that Laila did a great job with the Rumba and was very graceful for a larger girl who is used to being in the boxing ring, and she got the facial expressions just right, not overdoing them like Letitia did last week on SCD.

Oooh, didn't she just? Did you see her on Graham Norton's show, trying to flirt with an unwilling Gabriel Byrne?

I missed that, it must have been embarrassing

I think Letitia is very nervous and probably feels a bit inferiour to the "leggies" on the show, so tends to over do things and perhaps try too hard (I feel a bit sorry for her when all the judges talk about are the glamour girls). Hopefully she'll be able to act out the tango well tonight.

Maks and Laila really had strong chemistry also.
that's a good idea setting the rumba in slow-mo.
I just watched one with Maks and Cheryl...I might try that with some of the pro rumba's (once I figure how out to)

Stella Street, I just found the Maks and Cheryl one too and really enjoyed it. You wouldn't think it would work slow motioning them but it does. I also found another one of Maks and Laila doing the Samba to "Brazil" which worked well too.

It's a good idea as you can pick your own songs that you would like to see them dance too, but I'm too technically inept to any such thing
