Only brief comments during the ad breaks.
The couples could choose one Ballroom and one Latin Dance, to revisit, with new music and choreography.
First up
Marie & Jonathan with the Quickstep.
Music "Good Morning" from
Singing in the Rain, Marie dressed in pale blue/turquoise, Jonathan in grey suit, he's never been this far in the competition before, they're concentrating on technique. Charming performance, Marie could make the Final.
scores: 10,10,9 Bruno was roundly booed.
Mel & Maks's Viennese Waltz Queen's Somebody To Love.
Beautiful, complex dance, Mel did 2 splits midway, both dressed in white.
scores: 10,10,10
Maks has never looked so happy. Spice Girls put in an appearance in the VT, and Emma being on SCD was mentioned by Samantha.
Jennie & Derek - Tango -
unknown loud rock song?
Jennie wore red, Derek black, both with gold military trim. Was surprised they chose to revisit this dance, as it was so fab last time, their breakthrough, and thought they would choose the Quickstep where they fell, just to do a clean performance. However Len thought it better "head and shoulders" than previously - it was a completely different style to the last Tango- and Bruno loved it too. Carrie-Ann thought they lacked chemistry. I love it when she's out of line with the other 2 Judges.
scores: 9,10,9 the dancers are disappointed with 9s tonight.
Helio & Julianne - Foxtrot/AS -
Aint That A Kick in the Head, The Rat Pack
Both dressed in Emerald Green, she looked stunning, he wore a tailsuit looking dashing, it was charm personified. How can these 2 not win? They are dead certs.

Gorgeous performance and choreography, sooo entertaining. As Bruno said, it's hard to believe he's never danced before. She's got the magic back, just in time for the Final!
scores: 10,10,10 ofcourse!
Len whizzed round all 4 couples in the DWTS helicopter to dish out a Latin Masterclass for the next round. Go Len! You gotta love 'im!
Marie & Jonathan - Mambo -
the Guiness Ad music
Dressed in red, yellow and black, both costumes were a-changing as this crazy dance went along, with Marie ending up prostrate on her Brothers' laps in the audience! OMG! I wish I could feel as energetic as her now, never mind in my late 40s, she's an absolute marvel!! This was a typical DWTS dance, in that it was less about technique, more about throwing in the kitchen sink and creating entertainment for the viewers, so critical comments are superfluous on this show, it's a different atmosphere, and incredible fun! I love it!
scores: 9,9,9
Mel & Maks - Paso Doble -
Satisfaction, The Rolling Stones
Sadly the webcam got stuck through most of this, but from what I could make out, it was a very powerful dance, and they ended up on the floor. The costume dept. have decided Mel = Modern, so a stunning maroon dress for her and matching colour for Maks. Judges loved it, and again
scored: 10,10,10 - what may stop them getting to the Final is if the GAP don't take to Mel and her blunt Northern way of saying, "vote for us". Maks presented her with a rose, and Tom joked "couldn't spring for a dozen huh?"
BTW Dance War starts in January with Bruno and CA. Think I'll give it a miss. They trailed it during the show.
Tomorrow night: Avril Levigne guests, and Sabrina & Mark will appear to promote the Tour and dance. Plus Micheal Flatley who is in the audience tonight.
Jennie & Derek - Cha Cha -
unknown soul song?
At last! Jennie got down and dirty with a very sassy Cha Cha, in total contrast to her first dance in week one, and showing how much she's improved and more to the point relaxed. Very sexy, dressed in beige and brown, Derek spent a bit too much time on the floor, I preferred the classic Cha Cha moves myself. Universal praise,
scores: 10,10,10
Helio & Julianne - Cha Cha -
unknown song? (not having much luck tonight)

Dressed in pillar box red, bit tacky, but great performance again, Len said they were the couple of the night, of a high standard show, and you couldn't argue. The dance itself was a bit Julianne centric, she didn't showcase Helio so much apart from at the start when he slid on the stair bannister. Also she borrowed a move from Edyta at the end. It probably had less basics than their original Cha, but alot of fun, infact the whole night was full of fun and great dancing. So much energy all round, what are they on?
scores: 10,10,10 tied 60 points with Mel & Maks in first place.
Tom made a joke: "To the 1 - 8 paddles, sorry you didn't put in an appearance tonight".

Samantha urged everyone to vote!
Oh dear, who should leave? I simply can't choose, and will be sorry to see anyone go. The only couple I think is totally safe, based on poplular vote, and the fact he was a dancing novice, is Helio & Julianne.
The dances I'm really looking forward to seeing tomorrow on youtube are Mel & Mak's VW especially, and also the Paso. Marie & Jonathan's Quickstep, and Helip & Julianne's Foxtrot/AS. All of them looked sensational. WOW! Another great night of DWTS! You've gotta love this show!
