I'd be quite happy to see any of them win it as they all 3 appeal in one way or another.
It would be nice to see Marie win as she'd be the oldest winner ever (and she CAN actually dance!), Helio is the journey man and Mel is just fantastic. BUT - like SCD its as much a popularity contest as it is a dancing contest - and with Thanksgiving coming up, the only all American partnership left will score well with the American public. |

For a woman in her late 40s - and as we know this show has a very wide demographic, but particularly an audience of women of mature years - she has done remarkably well, I am soooo impressed with her boundless energy, and sense of humour, and sheer joy of performing! Plus she can dance for sure! She can do Ballroom and Latin, and is not an embarrassment in any way, and will be a worthy Finalist. I think it's nice that Jonathan, a stalwart pro, will also make his debut in the Final. Hopefully he will come up with a great routine for their Showdance and wow the audience, and do themselves justice. I'm pleased that Jonathan has made his first final. I also appreciate Marie's performance the fact she puts her all into it and at the end of the day that's all you can ask for. |

From the Louis Van Amstell article in Holland recently: Just this tidbit so far, my friend will dig it up and tell me more later... Quote:
It was an interesting I was intrigued to see him dance, and thankfully the early series videos are still up on Raph's site, and watched LVA's Waltz from series 1. article, he lives in the States and does a lot of teaching. I remember him well from the time he competed here, his former partner was in all the Dutch DWTS series. ![]() Was also tres surprised to see that Kenny Maine's Cha Cha in series 2 received 4, 5, 4 from the Judges! ![]() Now either he was a truly terrible dancer, or there was less overinflated marking back then? During the DWTS off season, must catch up on videos of all the series so far.

He only came in late, to fill in for his son who was injured playing basketball, but I felt so sorry for his poor partner, you could see she was really really trying but he was terrible. He scored a 2 for one of his dances, off one of the judges. |

WOW! That is surprsing, as even that very tall basketball player in series 4, who couldn't dance at all, seemed to complain when he got a score below a 7!
I'm so looking forward to having a DWTS fest on Raph's site sometime soon. Shall I admit this publically?....I have a slight crush on Kenny Mayne, he's actually a bit fanciable. ![]() BTW re Louis van Amstel, he lives in Utah aswell, like the Houghs, must be a dancing hotbed over there!

That's so interesting to me, as the only Mormons we'd ever heard of before were the Osmonds, going back to the 1970s. Other than them, Mormons and Utah were only mentioned in terms of ultra religious people who believed in multiple marriages and had very home loving, dowdy children. So seeing the likes of Julianne Hough and all these glamorous dancers is so weird. I guess the Mormons got into the 21st Century!

Our SCD pales into insignificance.

New update: only two couples will get to do their Tuesday dance. One couple will be eliminated, the top 2 will dance their ballroom dance and be scored by the judges and then all the scores combined to find out who the winner is.
Still no news on Mel and Maks' ballroom dance. |

I've just been looking back at some old vids. Funny to think what perceptions were of the contestants before the show started! Jimmy Kimmel (a talk show host) predicted it would be:
Winner: Helio Floyd Jennie Albert Mel Sabrina Wayne Cameron Jane Mark Marie Josie (And LOL at Tom on Star Trek: Enterprise!) |

Getting quite excited for tonight's final, definitely more excited about DWTS than awful SCD.
Hope it's either Marie or Helio to win , any of them is good for me as long as it's not Mel Brown! |

I'd love Mel B to win because I think she's the best dancer, but I think Marie will win because 1. She's the only American left and 2. She 's got a massive fab base (including me

I finally got to hear Julianne's single! It's good, I like it
![]() I'd really like to see a Mark and Julianne pro demonstration, they're one couple we haven't seen dance together (there was the Dolly Parton thing but I mean a couple dance not a group dance) that I'd really like to. |

![]() ![]() http://www.juliannehough.com/ She's got a lovely warm voice, very Country. The Hough talent is never ending. TBH who can blame her & Mark, and Derek for leaving competition dancing behind and turning to *Showbiz*? I would've done exactly the same in her shoes with her amazing talent.

All times are GMT. The time now is 02:15.

Hopefully he will come up with a great routine for their Showdance and wow the audience, and do themselves justice.
