help please for new cinema layout/hide cables
Hi--have just added an extension to back of house.I have a bose acoust series3 speaker kit and marantz amp ready in waiting.
Hoping to put a flatscreen on wall...having triouble in thinking out how all the kit is conneced to keep wires etc hidden...eg DVD /digibox etc. I can still track walls etc as unplastered as yet ...In the past i have only used scart leads for hooking up gear. CAn you get leads and feed them thru conduit and fit scart connecot on ends manually? or what are the options... Also what height is reccommended for front and rear sat speakers...ear height? |

You could chop in a 50mm plactic trunking which would allow you to pull most leads through, especially if the walls are being plasterboard dabbed? you will however struggle to get a scart through. It is technically possible to wire up scart on site but it's a fidly job (21 pins). Consider using component leads for the DVD assuming it has this output. Not sure what digibox you have but if HD it will not be a problem as you can use HDMI to your TV.
Speakers at front around 1 Metre High & Rear about 1.8 Metre would be my recommendation. |
