It is, and will forever remain, a mystery.
Ghosts is my album of 2007. |

I think she's great. Revolution in Me and Ghosts are fantastic albums. My favourite songs from her would have to be Iodine, So You Say and Overrated.

I love her. I bought Revolution In Me when it came out and was hooked ever since. The only other female solo artists I like are Skin Björk and a bit of Alanis (well, one album), oh, and recently Bat For Lashes, so I'm glad I found Siobhan.
Ghosts is a great album, as is Revolution In Me, but both of them flopped It's not a mystery, it's just that other more chart friendly stuff pushes things like this to the back of the shelf. Her music isn't weird, or completely different, but it's a bit "left field" so radio doesn't want to play it.My favourite song is by far Revolution In Me (so dark and lovely), and Ghosts from Ghosts (oddly both the title tracks )She is now on the West End playing Mimi in Rent (the musical). She is sadly still being known as the girl who left the Sugababes, even thought that was in 2001! |

First reason is, hardly anybody knows her. She left Sugababes before they hit the big big big time.
Secondly, not enough exposure. Thirdly, her sound is a little subterranean and a little new for ears too but listenable. Did she leave Sugababes or was she pushed? |

I got this from Wikipedia: Quote:
In an interview with The London Paper[citation needed] Donaghy said: "It's difficult to leave a band and then make sort of a solo career. I left for a very good reason and I’ve never for a second wanted to go back there." Donaghy is still in touch with her former band-mate Mutya Buena: “We’re not exactly friends but we make an effort with each other and chat every once in a while. I’m always pleased to see her.” But she is no longer speaking with Keisha Buchanan: “That’s why I left. Me and Keisha were never friends, and I never knew what her problem was. I took it into my own hands to make myself happy. But I *believe in moving forward not backwards and I really don’t want to slag her off.”
I remember hearing Keisha treating Heidi in the same manner when she entered the band and also with the new girl who, from what I remember reading, seemed to put Keisha in her place.

Absolutely love this girl and have done ever since Overrated, I agree there seems to be this huge fanbase but little reaction when it comes to sales.. the only thing I could think is that the fanbase is mainly that of the net due to myspace etc and because of this most of her fans download the singles/albums illegally.. can't see why else; her music is the cream of the crop.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siobhan_Donaghy Those chart positions are dire she deserves much better what a star! |

Did she leave Sugababes or was she pushed? Unfortunately, there is nothing on record to back this up AFAIK but it sounds likely. Although it could just as easily have been the two mingers elbowing out the pretty one - take your pick. |

Is it true that she walked out on the group just before they were due to go on stage for a gig in Japan? She said that she was popping to the loo and she then just buggered off? Don't know if it's an urban myth or not but it's quite funny if it's true! Anyways, both her solo albums have been fantastic. Absolutely love the woman.

She is very underrated and doesn't get the recognition she deserves, sadly.

![]() I imagine Siobhan could be pretty big - not in a Sugababes kind of way, but more has a close following who get her into the top 20 or something - but she's just not getting the airtime, it seems ![]() Fingers crossed to what happens after she has done with Rent. |

HAHA Completely true.. apparently through the toilet window.. Genius.
Not true, about the toilet story. Completely made up. Siobhan mentions that in an interview, but I can't find the link at the moment...She's gonna get back on track with the promo of "Ghosts" soon, and I hope 2008 will be kinder to her... A rumoured new single, and a re-launching of "Ghosts"... But only rumours so far... |

Now it's official. Siobhan leaves Rent after the 12th of Jan, an understudy takes over the role as Mimi. Time for the girl to resume her solo trek.
About time. |

I liked Siobhan. But I hate Keisha! She is an overrated, loud-mouthed bully! Seeing as she is the only surviving one left, you must question that she would be the one who creating all the friction in group, hence them leaving. Such a shame, because I like Siobhan and Mutya. I'm glad Amelle put her in her place!

I think Heidi should go solo. |
