Panasonic Viera TH37PX70 37inch Plasma HD TV
I have received several recommendations on another thread but as that thread is primarily talking about CRT, I thought this would be appropriate.
Right,I am looking to buy an HD ready TV, I like watching alot of sport so the TV must be able to handle fast moving objects like footballs (except when Newcastle play) The TV is for a middle room, with a viewing distance of about 7ft and should be able to handle SD for the time being, until I am ready to pay extra for HD content. I have been recommended the Panasonic Viera TH37PX70 Plasma HD 37 inch and it looks very nice. So can anyone beat this for price (prepared to pay up to £1000 but please bear in mind the viewing distance and SD content for time being) Any other LCD that can live with this or better Plasma model? Those with personal experience please let me have your thoughts. Just shy of £800 at John Lewis http://www.johnlewis.com/Technology/...x?source=22009 |

John Lewis is a good deal with the 5 year warranty.
The Panasonic is the best 37" Plasma you will get in that price range and will be ahead of an LCD in terms of SD quality. |

Currys doing it for £700
http://www.currys.co.uk/product.php?...=OfferoftheDay The 5 year warranty is key though, I'd still go with JL |

Very tempting.
Anyone else got any opinions on this 37inch beauty? |

My dad bought one from Totaldigital at Birmingham for about £750 with a 5 year warranty, 6 months ago (although I think that offer ran out in May). He's well chuffed with it and has also bought the PVR to go with it now.

Haven't seen this set with my own eyes, but I know other people have spoken highly of it's SD performance.
For another 4 days its available at Pixmania.com for £603.09 (or £620 delivered) with a 1 year warranty. It's a limited offer £50 off (from £653.09), you have to use the discount code "PixPana50". http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/5434...=369&srcid=369 Maybe you could see if John Lewis will price match, that way you can get the low price and extended warranty? |

Yeah PZ is 1080p, if it was me I'd save my money and go for the PX for the SD performance.
