Sony RDR-GX120 Recorder - playing on other machines

Hi,
I've just started using this DVD recorder but find I cannot watch the recorded DVD's on another player.
There is reference to this in the manual (something to do with finalising?) but I'm afraid it makes no sense.
Can you please help?

Thanks
John

You MUST finalise the disk for it to play in another machine, you also must use only one of the two formatting options - but I can't remember which one it is?.

If he uses '-' format discs he need to use Video rather than VR mode.

Thank you, got it sorted now. It was just a question of how to finalise the recording and seems so obvious now.
