speaker cable in same duct as plug cable

Wondering if any issue running rear speaker cables in same ducting in solid wall as plug `T&E` cables....is there any cross interference or noise detrimental to the overall sound?

would save extra tracking etc

comments appreciated

Many Thanks

No, shouldn't be any problem.

In theory you may get 50Hz hum induced on the speaker cable. However I doubt you'll see much of a problem. Signal and power cables should strictly only cross at 90 degrees to minimise induced noise, but frankly in the mess of spaghetti behind my TV / amp etc they are rubbing up against each other all over the place. The purist or the oscilloscope may pick up something but I can't.

Also since it's the speaker cable the voltages involved are much higher, impedances much lower and the hum is not going to get further amplified compared with say a phono lead.

I thought my original five word answer said all that was needed?

But to explain why (like bobcar), speaker leads are at a VERY low impedance (less than 0.1 ohms), and at a high signal level (at least when the volume is turned up). This means that any possible transfer is far too small to be audible.

You can see a 50Hz content on the speaker lines using a scope - just. I was being pedantic!
