I thought some of you Brookie fans might enjoy this, it was taken two days ago:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GNuosCUAav0

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KU1nHKqdfks

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_Jse6mpxaA

Each clip (from the same person) is over 7 & a half minutes long so there's plenty to see.

If you go again let me know and I'll pop up. I know I've been twice already but I wouldn't mind going again and meeting up with you, Dan and Dave.

Apparently this was on The Sun's website, however I can't seem to find it :S

"CHANNEL 4’s 25th anniversary will be marked by repeats of classic shows.

The first ever episodes of Brookside and Countdown which were broadcast on 2 November 1982 will be shown by More4.

Also to be screened again are the films Walter starring Sir Ian McKellen as a mentally handicapped man and The Comic Strip Presents… Five Go Mad In Dorset with Adrian Edmondson, Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders.

There’s another chance to see the first Vic Reeves’ Big Night Out; the drama Porterhouse Blue starring Sir David Jason; the original Eurotrash; Whose Line IS It Anyway? and US comedy The Golden Girls.

Influential figures in the station’s history including former chief executive Michael Grade, Jon Snow, Alan Bleasdale and Jamie Oliver will feature in the documentary Channel 4 At 25 on 30 September. "

The first episode of Brookside is a bit boring but it'll be worth watching again.
There's a jerky version on You Tube if anybody hasn't seen it.

It hasn't been owned by Mersey TV for a few years now. Anyone can visit the Close, there's no barriers or anything to stop you.

Be quick as i imagine they'll be occupied before the year is out.

It really is fascinating walking round Brookside Close! I was going to Liverpool today and thought i'd stop off at Brookside on the way and I'm so glad I did!
It was amazing to see how small everything is but also knowing how much TV history happened on this small cul-de-sac!

I'm disappointed that someone had took/stolen the road sign though!! grrr!

I've been there twice now (600 mile round trip) and I'd love to go there again before people move in and the opportunity has gone.
