Anything but actually alot of people have said they were not fans of Leona but love the song. Plus Shayne's 2nd single didn't get to #1 so why should Leona's be assured because of her "X Factor Fame"

I think it will be number 1. The amount of publicity it will get the night before or whatever it is on the X Factor will give her the number 1 slot for sure.

If she misses #1 because of someone like Take That then it isn't the end of the world, although it isn't what would be wanted. She should make number one, but her album sales are where she will be judged. She won't have the #1 album that week, the Spice Girls will beat her, but if she can sell 200,000 albums in her first week, she'll be off to a great start. Then she needs some decent singles to follow to push overall sales up to 600,000 or so copies where I think she would be regarded as successful.

its looks like she has more than the spice girls to worry about when her album is out as Mariah has her album out just a day before leonas.

Leona's album is out November 5th, Mariah's is December 4th.

Mariah is December 4th in the US (probably December 3rd in UK). Even if she did release the same week, she wouldn't be much of a threat. Unlike Leona and SG's she won't launch to particularly high sales (over 150k) here although she will probably go on to sell alot.

yer I know I miss read another post.

my bad i had just looked on HMV and seen the mistake.

Any way leona just may make it for that week as there is really no one that stands out as big coming out that week apart from the spice girls (if you can call them good).

But she may find it hard to hold on to it as the following few weeks see some big names with albums coming out like Celine Dion, Girls Aloud, Kylie, Mariah, Gewn stefani, Whitney, Alica keys, westlife and take that.

She certainly won't linger in the top 3 for more than 2 weeks. Nobody does at this time of year. It's very tough with alot of big new releases. The aim will be to stay top 20 at worst, and hopefully top 10 until the xmas weeks. Even at #15 in December you can be selling more than a #1 in February.

Kylie should shift alot of albums in her first week. It's her big comeback and she is much loved and has been (and will be ) much hyped. She might sell more than Leona's first week as well. Take That should also have a big first week and Westlife will, inevitably sell about 200k in their first week.

I think out of all of them whitney would be the one to out sell them all as we havent heard anything from her for a long time. And she was well like back in the day and people will want to see if she still has the magic.

Any particular reason why the female artists are capitalized, and the males artists are not in your last sentence?

OK - and your guess for highest chart position would be?

I predict a big number one, provided the release doesn't coincide with Samanda's brilliant cover of Barbie Girl.

The Spice girls as a band are seen as very 90's and I think Leona will outsell them in a very bug week for album sales.

it could be a top 10. (the words are not for the squeamish)

It is going to go either two ways.

1) It will be a total flop and will just get number 8 or something and then will dissapear from the charts after a month. This would be very very bad.

More reasonably though....

2) It will be number 1 for like 2 months, and then will stay in the top ten for another two, and then will gradually make its way down the charts over the space of 3 months.

I think it'll deffinatly be top 5, hopefully as high as possible.

I think it'll reach top ten, but I don't think it'll get to number one.

I'd go for around number 5. I heard this song for the first time yesterday on my car radio. To be honest, I wasn't paying much attention, the radio was just on and I was driving along. It must have been playing for a couple of minutes and I caught some of the lyrics and thought 'oh, that must be Bleeding love' and started to pay attention. It didn't sound as much like Leona as I had expected her single would. Once I started to really listen it was obviously her but up until then it seemed really heavy on the backing vocalists and it sounded more like an R&B group than anything. I think it's a song that doesn't imediately grab you but will do well the more airtime it gets and it's already getting airtime, so I expect it will end up quite high up the charts.

My guess; it will be her second #1.”

I'd have thought top 5. Don't know about number 1 as the only place I have heard about her in the last 6 months is on here.

I see that McFly are playing their joker

They are offering lots of ways of buying the downloads + a bonus with each one, which will no doubt get their fans to buy in multiple of at least 4

I think the #1 that week is going to depend on the size of the established fan base, (with TT winning that one) and how many of the wider public each song will attract, maybe Leona, with the XFactor appearance, will have that one in the bag.

Leona will definitely get to number one with both single and album. I cannot see The Spice Girls outselling her in the album charts unless there is some new material on their album.
