I think may of you who are saying 'oh top 20' simply might not like Leona. However, that might not be true. So who knows. I think it will be number 1 to be honest. There is just to much hype and publicity around it.

There is such a thing as getting too much hype. Folk can get fed up of hearing about something over and over or hearing something again and again. I think they are over playing things way too early - a couple of weeks before should have been enough with the type of promotion Leona is getting to get the message across that she has a single and a album coming out. And before anyone starts snarling at me I have already said that I think she will get number 1.

I've just been reading some foreign blogs and forums across Europe and Asia.

IMO we should be trying to guess which country this does not reach No 1 in.

With the single release only a week or so away, another chance to add/review your thoughts based upon how well the song has been received so far.

Still No.1 for me.

number one.
Althoug McFly have a strong song out same week, probably their best in ages and a much more mature sound.(100% self penned )
May upset the apple cart, but I think Leona will win the spot.

I think Take That, not McFly are her strongest competition - that song has been getting huge amount of publicity and airplay.

I'm gonna say too close to call, but i think there'll be a big publicity battle that week (probably engineered by X-Factor, lol) and she might just edge it.

I'm following you around today by the looks of it, but I would say, forget Take That & McFly, Britney will be the biggest competition and it's only going to be Leona's appearance on XFactor, that could give her the edge.

I thought Britney had been brought forward for the download? It's Monday isn't it? I dunno, if Britneys releasing then it puts the cat amongst the pigeons really.

To be honest the top 4 that week is anybody's guess and could still go either way depending on further developments but yes 10 million X-Factor viewers will be a boost. They are gonna be pimpin that download number for all they're worth! haha.

Britney's download is out Monday, physical the same day as Leona.

Leona has to thank her lucky stars that she's got the first live show, but then again, that was always the plan, regardless of competition, wasn't it?

Poor Shayne, if only they'd have started the live shows earlier he could have got a free boost too. Once again he's like the poor relative at a family gathering, whilst Leona is given the key to the executive washroom. I bet he even has to share his packed lunch with the chipmunk!!!

At least one new track - W.O.M.A.N. or Headlines (depending on who you believe - perhaps both), remixes, DVD ltd editions, etc. It will be a massive seller.

Shayne will have his chance too, singing his new track, which is out the week before his album of the same name

This one will be make or break for Shayne, so if ever an ex XFactor winner needed a boost, he sure does.

Despite my earlier post, I think Britney will provide the stiffest competition to Leona. I have not heard Britney's single yet, but I guess the way it has stormed up the Billboard Top 100 and the UWC it must be pretty good.

Britney - Gimme More

I quite like it. I haven't heard the Take That song (well I think I heard it on the radio, but I don't remember how it goes) but I like the McFly one too.

Gimme More is pretty average.

I think Leona will be #1.

Maybe, although her bigger fanbase is certainly in the states. One of things that makes me think Britney is less of a threat is that the majority of her downloaders will do it the week before Leona releases.

I hate Britney's new single...It sounds like a Dalek attempting a clubbers song..

Unfortunatley, because it is Britney, it may do well....but I know who I would rather watch live..

Well it's not hit #1 in the US, radio doesn't like it (she's not getting much airplay in the US) and Its not performing greatly anywhere in Europe (if Itunes is any indicator).

Not true Britney's video is the #1 downloaded video on iTunes UK and the video and song are #1 on iTunes USA and she is #3 on Billboard hot 100 so it's doing slightly better than you said

I actually think Britney will be the biggest threat to Leona as well.

Gimme more don't get released over here until 29th and #3 < #1.

No Euro Zone countries have it at #1 on Itunes, France is best at #2. Its a lot lower on the rest.

It's a bit sad when Britney's success in the charts s eems to have been initiated by her recent breakdown, a dodgy MTV awards show, loss of access to her children and shaving her head in public.

The mind boggles what will she do for her next hit...
