Not sure if it was Italia Conti but there were definitely a handful of ex drama school students. I don't blame Kimberley for this though. I expect she put it on her application form or at the very least the producers would have throughly researched her background before putting her through to the judges' stages. It's easy enough to find info on her on the web. It's yet another case of misleading production values - which in the wake of the current scandals is more than a little foolish.


I thought she looked good and on a Saturday night TV show people go for charisma not dress size - and she was one of the most charismatic there. I can see her going down the soul/retro vibe. Sort of Amy Winehouse but with a pop edge - or in other words Joss Stone like I said before. I just hope she delivers. I was rooting for an act that fell away in the early stages last year and I'd like to back a stayer for a change!

i think ul always have people on these shows that have been to stage schools because the reason they went to stage school is because they want fame, same reason why their auditioning for whatever programme it is!!!

The reason why people care is because the producers shouldn't intentionally be misleading the public. People do NOT pay their TV licenses to be lied to.

I agree it isn't the artists faults, and i also think its quite obvious Syco is deliberately recruiting from the stage schools.

The first thing any judge who wants to put her down will jump on is the old "i'm not sure you look like a pop star" comment, so i hope she's got a good comment back to retaliate back, make em look small bwahahahah.

I agree she is the most charistmatic contestant since the start really, and i don't find her annoying.

i agree, although i am slightly biased i cant see why simon finds her annoying, she just has a personality thats all, her obviosuly prefers the quiet leona type. i dont think shes done anything to warrant what he said on sat night though about the finger thing!!!

to gonzo the great... il be majorly annoyed if they pick on kim's appearance or any of the contestants appearance. i know that being attractive sells records but this is a talent contest not britain's next top model. i think sharon will know better though and stick up for the contestant's if weight issues are mentioned

the thing we liked about Kimberley was her attitude, whilst everyone else already had themselves down for failure, she said that even if she didnt get through at least she had got to sing on a west end stage - great positive attitiude! ps i will be joining the facebook group

And yeah, she has the best person as her mentor to have a go back at any negative comments. I think the way they are playing it is that Sharon will love her, Simon will say quite a few mean things to shock people, Louis will tell him he dunno whats hes talking about, and by the end Simon will have come round to thinking actually she's ok. It'll be like they were with Chico, and if anyones annoying its him.

yeah sharon is def the best person for her!!! and judging by what we've seen so far sharon seems to of warmed to her which is always good so hopefully she'll get special treatment lol!!!

Well i knew that, but Freemantle produce for BBC too and anyway it shouldn't give ITV producers an excuse to lie to the viewer either really should it? BTW, ITV does recieve some public money for their public service broadcasting element.

And their shows got fined by Ofcom same as the BBC. No Comedy Awards on ITV this year because producers don't know where to draw the line. Will X Factor stll be around next year - it claims to be about finding talent from the general public and it isn't.
