Buying a phone - light users

If you're a light phone user (only speak for a couple of minutes a day/send a couple of texts a day), do you buy a new phone just to make calls or do you like to play around with the functions on it - e.g. camera, mp3 player, Internet?

I only make about a minute of calls a week and send 2 texts a week but I like playing around with the functions on the phone.

Sometimes, I wonder if I'm wasting my money buying a £100 PAYG phone but a lot of phones are entertainment devices now.

Mobiles aren't just phones anymore they are all in one devices.

I make about 5 to 10 mins of calls a week, and send about 50 to 100 texts a week.

I use my mobile as my MP3 player but don't use the camera much. I like to use the web and play games too.

I have a samsung D900 and love the piscel file viewer. Use it view my excel sheet of addresses I visit each day for work. I am also a light user but features like email and web access are really important to me. Being able to use the phone as a USB storage device is also a real bonus.

I have a K800i, the only calls I make is to the missus saying "put kettle on, home in 5 mins"

I mainly got my phone for the camera.

You and, I suspect, most other mobile phone owners too.
