OFAH- Miami Twice DVD release
I want to have a moan about the recently released Miami Twice DVD I've bought today. priginally this show went out in 2 epsiodes. The first was called "The American dream" and was done like all the other episodes, however the second, "Oh, to be in England" was more like a TV movie and is shot entirely on film and has no laughter track. I am disapointed on the DVD, the two episodes have been combined, and a laughter track added to the second. The canned laughter not only detracts a lot from the actual epsiode, but also blocks out quite a lot of lines of dialogue, as the actors didn't pause for the laughter, as it isn't meant to be there. Another thing is that the 2nd part was shot on Super-16 film which means it is 14:9 format on the actual epsiode, the DVD crops it by zooming it up to 4:3.
I am not taking it back, but I want to hope that this DVD release is pulled in favour of the original 2-epsiode format of the programme- minus the canned laughter & in 14:9 format for the 2nd episode. Anyone know any contact for the BBC's DVD release dpeartment to contact?
