Vodafone offer their data pack at £7.50 per month, but what can you actually use it for? lol
I presume you still get charged to download music. Is there any point to data packs, as presumably you can't use mot websites on your mobile?

What about connecting the phone to laptop. Would that work? How would it be done?

I seriously don't have a clue what people use data packs for, but i still feel like i'm missing out

Data packs allow you a certain amount of usage allowance for the Internet over a month.

You do get charged to download music, as you're using the Internet.

You can connect a phone to your laptop.

You can connect via USB (I think) or Bluetooth. Bluetooth is wireless.

You can buy a software pack for your phone from the Internet or a mobile phone shop, or it may come included with the phone.

Just to clarify, the vast majority of modern phones can surf the web. If not you can download something like Opera Mini which will allow you to.
So mobile data allows you to surf the web, read email etc.

Hi Prking,

The £7.50 data bundle can be used for virtually anything.

Browse Vodafone live! pages
Browse pages outside of live! (i.e. bbc.co.uk)
Video streaming from off-net sites
Access your email on your phone
Use your phone as a modem.

You can’t use it for any VoIP usage.

Hope this helps

for a better understanding you will only be charged for using the 2 things over either APN: messenger services and VOIP.

You will not be charged for downloading music as people have said this will come out of your inclusive bundle, your best bet is to download from live! as that is not deducted from your bundle at all.

You can use either the INTERNET APN or the WAP APN to use that bundle and you are not limited to just the one.

you can use them to "download" music but as far as i am aware MSN will not work and you will be charged at the usual rate of £2 per MB
