can any1 help me with an i pod

just bought my first ever ipod nano, so to celebrate thought i would download an album from hmv, however i cant transfer this album onto my ipod, because its a protected wma file can i get this album onto me ipod or have i wasted money on an album and on an ipod, bugger it im going back to vinyl i think

Only way to do it is to burn it to CD, then rip the CD into iTunes. iPods will only play downloaded music, if bought through the iTunes Store.

Or if it's DRM free music bought from a store that doesn't add DRM. Or it's from a CD.

Thats wrong..... I download shade loads of music from other places and its all on my ipod

sorry, i miss read it. Itunes won't play music downloaded from a store that uses DRM. But it will play any music that doesn't have DRM. Also i know that you have no chance using Napster to go

thanks to all of you for your advice it really helped lots and is really appreciated, think i will go back to vinyl but sod it ill need to buy a turntable now, get a hold of me mams auld stereogram
