It looks like Strictly has changed the results day....can't believe that they have done it....how am i supposed to hang on to find out who is going through. Check it out here What do you reckon? good move or silly move? I'm backing Kelly Brooke to win, she is the best!!!

Sounds like a way of getting more money to me. Putting the results onto thew next day might allow them to do a repeat show on Sunday morning where people can continue to send in their money (aka vote).

I think Saturday Night Takeaway have done something similar with competition entries so that they can get some phone call revenue on the Sunday morning ITV2 repeat.

They all need to get money for their fines or bonuses from somewhere

It is being pre-recorded on the Saturday evening so i doubt it would be about money. Are the BBC allowed to profit for phone in votes?

It seems very odd to me. The results show goes ahead on Saturday evening so at least the dancers don't have to come back but I don't want to have to wait until Sunday to see the results. I'm most dis-chuffed about this!

It's probably so they can count the votes 10 times by hand to make sure there are no possible mistakes.

I think it's a shame to alter the format though, although I would only usually watch the last 2 minutes of the results show. There was too much padding, guest singers etc. It will be interesting to see what it's like. I have it on series link so I should catch it all okay.

You'd be wrong then. Phone lines will only be open for one hour after the show.

A really stupid decision for the viewer.

I think this is quite hard for the contestants. They have to train around the clock all week, but at least they could maybe veg out on a Sunday, now they've got to get glitzed up and participate in a TV show for 2 minutes of information padded out to half an hour or whatever.

Not a very good idea at all.

The viewers will eventually lose patience; they pad out the results show enough as it is already, IMO.

Nope, the results show is prerecorded on Saturday. Just in time to be in the Sunday papers and therefore rendering the Sunday show as pointless.

Can you imagine if they recorded the Big Brother evictions on Friday but didn't show them until Saturday?

Completely pointless and will ruin a perfectly good show.

It seems even more crazy then. The BBC seem desperate to grab viewers on Sunday.

Isnt it just for one week as ITV are showing a second X Factor Show on Sunday night because of the Rugby on Saturday so the BBC may have decided to show the SCD Results against it?

They're so petty. They think half the nation is going to sit around on a Sunday waiting for a pre-recorded results show??

Perhaps they will think otherwise when they see the viewing figures for that results show.

I'm guessing it will be to cut into ITV on a sunday as the BBC normal struggle for viewers on a Sunday night.

Just seen that this wont be a one- off and will happen every week. Interesting decision by the BBC.

Dont think I like the sound of this! Is that not what a lot of US shows do - X Factor, Dancing with the Stars..?
I prefered it when it was in one night. First show, and then the results after Casualty.
Is the second show going to be longer than usual then? It already feels too long as it is, we only tune in right at the end for the result - can never be bothered listening to the 'jokes' or seeing this weeks guest sing.

Isn't there a forum somewhere else for this?

It sounds worse and worse, because the judges will have the final vote between the 2 lowest scoring pairs.

This is where having 4 judges doesn't work so well, they should have 3 or 5 ! (to get round it Len has the deciding vote) Also won't this put the mockers on any argy bargy (will Brendan still argue so much).

I think the viewers should have the power to choose.

It is how they did it in the US for Dancing with the Stars...

But DWTS had a valid reason in that with the different time zones they had to get the voting in and also their results show was LIVE! Also the judges didn't decide between the bottom 2 whereas they're going to here.

That is probably the worse part in all the changes to the format.
