2.1 optical output speakers.

Due to the poor quality of sound I receive though my TV when watching SkyHD, bluray and HDDVD which I'm told is down to compression blah blah blah etc etc. I thought I would do some research into speakers (not 5.1 for reasons that wouldn't interest you).
2.1 seems ideal, and I'd prefer these with an optical output. I found http://www.abit.com.tw/multimedia/ which look ok, the reveiws I have read seem ok. Does anyone else have any other options I could look at or any experience of 2.1 optical
