I used to have an Elcheapo hi-fi in but I got rid of it since I hardly ever listen to music though anything other than the computer and it sounded Naff anyway.

Currently I have a set of logitech x230 computer speakers which I think sound pretty reasonable however I also use my xbox360 on my pc monitor so In order to get that hooked up to the speakers as well as the PC its currently going though a scart switch box which probably doesn't do anything for the sound quality.

Pc is using its onboard audio (sigmatel chip) but then again I had an x-fi in the old pc and I can't really tell the difference.

The x230's are getting on a bit now and although there's nothing wrong with them I am considering changing them at some point within the next 6 months or sooner.

I was looking at maybe using an amp with mutiple inputs and a set of bookshelf speakers, although I don't want to spend a fortune doing it I was hoping to keep it under £150 as the absolute maximum.

The Amp that caught my attention was this one...

Was thinking maybe these speakers?

Although I'm willing to spend a more on the speakers but ideally not a lot more unless the difference is going to be vastly noticable.

I'd guess id need some speaker cable as well?
i know next to nothing about home audio systems so any advice offered would be graciously received.

Is the input selector control on the subwoofer there?
If so its no use to me as that would have to go under the desk out of the way and it would be a real pain the backside to get to to select inputs set the volume.etc

Pity because they look pretty good otherwise.
