Wow! Talk about and over-generalised POV. Of course, you've deliberately chosen it to air as you will never be proved either wrong or right.

I'm sure that there are better actresses out there than BP. I'm also sure there are better DJs that Moyles; better personality presenters than Ant & Dec or Edmonds, etc., etc.

However, until they appear on TV or in the national press (ie become well-known and/or celebrities, at which point your argument comes full circle of course ) how the hell are we supposed to know who they are

Until that time, BP is what we have and she is damned good and gorgeous with it

Well said

And just for the record there is not a DW cast member I haven't liked, even the kids in the SJA are good in my opinion

Up and down the country there are thousands of better forum posters who knock the spots off your efforts

But in our sick Celebrity driven society they will never get the chance - rather like all the people who could have been made the new assistant but couldnt becuase of TV's demand for stunt-casting.”

You've gone below the belt this time, that is a NASTY thing to say! I'm so tempted to tell you to get a life rather then obsessing about moaning about new series of Doctor Who. She is a actress it's her job! If you don't like it simply turn off.

I don't think forum members sit at home fearing posting comments. I think most put their point across very well, even if it is against popular opinion.

Some, however, revert to name calling and personal insults like: "I see her skin hasn't improved - still very greasy and with many spots hidden by makeup. ALSO HAHAHAHAHA - I see her BIG tv show where she is a whore with a heart has been shunted from ITV1 to ITV2 becuase of poor demand and vierwes! "

Do you call people ugly and spotty in real life or do just pick on female celebs from a safe distance in the comfort of your home?

As far as I'm aware, my head is still on my shoulders.
Come on, though, it's such a basic error. Do they teach nothing in schools these days? Do parents not correct their children any more? It's like all this "whatever" all the time. For crying out loud, we speak English, not stupid American...!
(And before all Americans reply in a huff, it is our language you are messing up!)

I think you will find English and American are 2 seperate languages. When I was in Dubai last year, went into a book store, where they sold all these "Learn a language CD's"
and I kid you not "Learn American was on display...."

English(USA)
English(UK)

That's because there are differences in vocabulary, grammar and spelling between the two.

Generally, differences in vocabulary are the result of changes in how English is spoken in the UK ("Autumn" is a relatively recent invention and "Fall" is American English retaining the season name used in England at the time of the War of Independence) and differences in spelling are the result of changes on the US (the simplification of 'colour' to 'color', for instance - possibly the result of trying to make English as easy to learn as possible for large number of immigrants in the 19th century).

[nerd specs]

This option allows the computer to load the correct dictionary, though both English(UK) and English(US) would sound the same or similar when pronounced there are words that are spelt differently: Labour/Labor, Colour/Color, Through/Thru, Tyre/Tire etc.
If you chose the wrong dictionary on MS Office for example and then wrote an essay they'd be more red underscores than in a teachers worst nightmares.

[/nerd specs]

Hope that makes it clearer.

It's because Americans can't cope with proper language. I mean, how many collective nouns do they have? Eh? I'll tell you how many...one. ONE! A bunch of crooks, a bunch of dolphins, a bunch of cheese, etc, etc...
