Hi all

On my Panny when I select and external input, be it AV1, AV2, HDMI etc, it comes up in the top left hand corner which one you are on .............permanently!

How the hell do I get it to be displayed for just a few seconds then go off?

Cheers

Presumably it's similar to a Sony set?, on which there's a button on the handset which turns it ON or OFF - on Sony's it's labelled with either 'i' or a TV screen with a '+' in the corner (or both).

It will be explained in the instruction book!.

Thanks for the reply, and you are partially correct. The "i" button does display and cancel on screen info, but only in "TV" mode. It has no effect when an external input is selected.

I've read the manual cover to cover and can't see anything on this.

Does on Sony's!

Presumably Panasonic have a customer help line?, if you ring that it's likely to be a VERY FAQ.
