Im about to buy a Hdmi cable, and was wondering if there is much difference between normal cables and the gold plated cables available? Its a price difference of £5 for the non-gold plated one, but if its worth the extra price then fair enough

Thanks

If you have an HDMI cable that works then there is ZERO advantage in changing it, it carries a digital signal.

Get the cheapest one that long enough (the exception might be if you needed a really long cable (you don't) because then there might be problems with a cheap one working at all).

With digital its 0's and 1's - it either works or it doesn't. Theres no variables.

ive got prowire gold plated hdmi, but thats only because i was given it. only real reason you may need 1 is if your running it over silly lengths. but basically everything above correct about digital sig

or if youve got a hell of a lot of tv's or wires and your getting quite a lot of noise comming thorugh, they help with that as most gold plated 1s have noise reduction protection thingy around the wire
