1) No, there are some irritating "features" of the software.
2) Ok, but not the loudest. 3) Nothing special and a bit awkward to use. |

It's generally good but somethings are really bizarre. If you send a lot of text messages then it might drive you crazy the number of steps you need to send a text message to one person from your phonebook:
Write message <Options> <Save & Send> <Options> <Phonebook> Scroll to contact <OK> <Options> <Select> <Options> <Send> Also beware that the moment when the camera 'clicks' is not the moment when it takes a photo! That happens shortly after... I have many photos which are blurred as they are taken as I move the phone back to look at the photo I thought I had taken

Great phone. Some irritating features though.
1. Sent text messages are not automatically saved. 2. Poor wap browser. I use opera mini instead. 3. I find midi ringtones to be very quiet. 4. Can't use your own text message alert tone. 5. If you cancel creating a text message by accident your only option is to save as draft. You can't just say your not finished and continue with the message. |

Having difficulty pairing a Samsung WEP-200 headset to a Samsung D900 phone.
Got as far as paired (just the one time ) but would not connect. Tried repeatedly by switching everything off and on again etc but all subsequent attempts to find the device failed. The headset pairs and works no problems on both a Samsung E870 and a Nokia 6230i And the D900 works with a Nokia BH-202 headset. Is there a compatibility issue with D900 and WEP 200 ? |

I have the previous model, the Samsung D600.
I wanted the D900 a while ago, however, upon actually touching the phone, it felt quite fragile (glued together) and cheap - not solid. The slide is rough, not smooth like the D600. Also, the D900's battery life is not as good. When closed, the D900 looks fantastic. Opened, it looks okay. I would recommend the G600. |

When my wife recieves images sent from bluetooth, it stores them in the downloaded images folder. You can not set them as caller images from there.
I transfered them to my favourite images folder, it says in the options "set as" and includes a caller image. However, it does not bring a scrolling list of contacts up. So how the hell do i get sent bluetooth images to display as a caller image? It`s driving me nuts !!! |

Go to the contact in the address book, Edit, Find the image setting and set it. Job done. ( think :| its been a while but i remember having a picture someone sent me as a caller id) |

Nice phone, I've been using mine for almost a year now, and have been largely happy with it. Some grumbles though:
1. Camera - utter rubbish, I had a Sony Ericsson k800i before this, which broke and I had to replace it, but the camera and flash were 100 times better. Any sort of movement from either your subject or you means a blurry photo, even in broad daylight. It's almost impossible for me to take photos of my children on it. In saying that, I don't really use it that often to bother much about it. 2. You can customise ringtones, but only have limited options for changing messaging tones, which is pretty lame (I like my phone to Moo! when I get a text message!) 3. Again, it's a lot more difficult to make your own wallpapers for the phone, because it doesn't display them correctly. There's not an option to full screen a wallpaper. Every phone I've had has had this option, so it's a bit of step back. You can do this with photos you take on the phone though. 4. Texting is easy enough, but a bit fiddly. I don't do text speak, and when I spell don't, I spell it as don't, not dont, and it's a pain getting the ' symbol, as you can only get it through the special characters menu. All other phones I've had have the ' character on the 1 key. 5. Sound quality of music through headphones (included or otherwise) is muffled. 6. If, like me, you use a bluetooth headset, there's no voice dialling, which defeats the purpose of using a handsfree kit. An old Nokia I had 10 years ago had this, so what's the deal? You can answer calls through the button on the headset though. Minor points, except for the very poor camera, which the phones looks and size more than make up for. Having used the phone for nearly a year, I can confirm that the build quality is just fine, and slider on my phone is still nice and smooth. I would recommend one, and you can pick them up new and unlocked on eBay for around £50 now I think. |

Edit the first text template to having just the apostrophe in it. Then, when you need an apostrophe when creating a text message, press: Option 4 1 OK Once you get used to it, its pretty quick and easy to do! |
