Swapping numbers on two contracts O2

I have 2 different contracts with O2. One ends in November and one ends next year. I'm considering getting the iPhone to upgrade the contract just about to end. The problem is I want to use the iPhone on number which is on contract until next year. This has never been a problem in the past as I would just swap the SIM over. But in the case of the iPhone I would need to keep the SIM so that I can use the bundled data amount etc.

Does any one know if this is possible? Can I swap the two phone numbers of my existing contracts? I'm still paying for both after all?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You're going to have to ask O2 on this one, it's such an unusual request I doubt anyone here has done it.
The simplest option would be to wait until next year by which time the bugs in the iPhone will be ironed out and the 2nd generation version will be out.

OK Thanks. I knew this wasn't going to be simple. Perhaps I should just forget about the iPhone
