i might go and see this....i like the whole thing about seating, buy your ticket and not your seat. sounds good! i worry about the "remixed" aspect though. i really like rent the way it was, just wonder how much they would change in order to make it more up-to-date...

I've read an article from the producer/director of this version, he said he's edited it slightly to make it run smoother. He said he thinks thats the way the writer would have wanted it, but didn't get a chance to do as he died whilst the musical was still at the rehearsals stage. I love the original Rent too but I am very intrigued as to what they may have done to it

thats not completly true, as jonathan died the night before the previews were due to start. has anyone read anthony rapps biography "without you" as it has a lot of really good insites to the show and jonathan larson, i would really recommend it to rent fans

I haven't seen the first one so can't judge what was like before been updated but all the theatre boards are giving it a panning. In fact DVO is the only one to escape the scathing comments
