Okey doke, I know my opinion doesn't count for much, but I don't care

Kelly:- I think that she is very good looking and has a lovely figure, but very little brains(as demonstrated in presenting "Big Breakfast) and I think that the "look at me I'm gorgeous" will wear very thin, although not according to Mr Plum

Dominic:- Like him on telly, and if anyone can make you a dancer it's Lilia. Think they'll do well for a while anyway.

Gabby:- Least said soonest mended. Think she'll be good however. Pants..

Kenny:- Scottish like me but not sure about him yet! He married Gabby, so will reserve judgement. Think he's too tall for Ola.

Stephanie:- Love her, very witty and think she'll do well in Ballroom. Not sure about Latin though.

Alesha:- Have high hopes for her. And at the moment my tip to win.

Brian:- Again, probably not the most natural dancer, but Karen's the magician. They'll be in for a few weeks I reckon.

Penny:- Really like her, hope her personality will come out more.

Kate:- Great partner in Anton, hope they will stay in for a while so we can see more of these two. They will provide laughs I'm sure.

John:- Has potential if he can lose some weight (I'n not being nasty at all truly) @I can see another Matt/Darren coming on.

Letitia:- Really like her, and think she'll be decent to watch, although I can't see her making the final. I think she could be the wrong "shape". Darren'll work his magic I'm sure!

Gethin:- Don't know him at all - Young and fit though, could be a contender!!

Matt:- Again, no clue about him really, seemed funny in the clips, but will reserve judgement on him too!

Willie:- Reckon he'll be good at ballroom like Stephanie, but will probably be watching his latin from behind the couch Erin's ace though, so we'll see.

Very Very excited, if it wasn't for the stupid Sunday thing. Roll on next week.................

How dull!! I thought it was the real first episode have turned over straight away. typical BBC trying to milk it for all its worth and save money... this mere cut and paste look back should be on a week day or BBC2/3 not prime time Sat night as if its the real deal- they counted on people like me turning on as they thought it was the real thing
So you watched a good portion of it and then came to a balanced conclusion. A critique worthy of a tabloid.

I'd like to put in a word for the older man ... I thought Brian looked good and seemed really genuine. I'd like to see him survive a few weeks at least

I have just posted something similar on Planet Waite, but I was very disappointed that we only got mere seconds of Ian and Penny, and also Matt and Alesha. It seems that they are not all getting a fair crack of the whip. We did, however, get a face full of Brendan and Kelly. No surprises there.

I would hope that some of the people who have been underplayed, such as Willie, Brian, Penny and Stephanie do well, in typical supporter of underdogs, pleasing personalities, and proponent of fair play style.

They were underplayed weren't they .

I thought I was just being paranoid.

Think Brian may go at least as far as Karen's "Television Husband" as they called him , Bill

Only just finished watching - good thing I recorded it. I thought preview was great. Loved seeing Jil & Darren jive and Karen & Mark again. They even had the cringeworthy Erin & Colin with dummies!
I didn't know who a couple of the folk were before and it was nice to get an intro. Was surprised at Aleesha - quite liked her. Hurry up next week!

"That Gabby Creature"

Spoken like Sable Colby at her best

Ooooh Steph you are wicked but I think you are fab

Think Steph has the right approach, work hard, have a giggle or two and don't take yourself too seriously.

Take yourself seriously and you will fail at Strictly because the viewers will not take to you

Oh that was so good. Felt really low after the awful DWTS results show last night, but that cheered me up so much. Can't WAIT for SCD to start now. It was sheer bliss seeing the old clips- and bring the memories flooding back. Remembering how stunning Maren were last time, and looking back at Jll and Darren, Brendan and Natasha. Enjoying watching Julian Clary and his costumes, cackling at Carol Vordeman (again ) and just lapping in the atmosphere.

Have no favourites or opinions yet - waiting to see them all dance before I can even start!

Stephanie was the standout star of the documentary! Love her!!

Really difficult to tell who looks like they are going to do well from the brief clips they showed. To be honest I thought the only one who looked good was Penny.

I would guess he'll be in for 4 or 5 weeks at most. There appear to be a significant number of young and quite athletic participants this year.

And though the older component are all very pleasant, genuine individuals, I just don't see them being able to compete with many of the other partnerships. The deciding judges vote will almost certainly mean that if any of the less agile, mobile individuals find themselves in the bottom two then, unless they are up against the dancing equivalent of a beached whale, they're gone - no public to save them.

I have nothing against the more aged celebs, but logically their chances of winning are remote. I'd say the possibility of either Willie, Brian, Stephanie etc winning, is about as likely as me be persuaded to catch the next aeroplane to Africa to risk life and limb, attempting to tweak the goolies of an agitated Silver-Back male gorilla, for a dare.

Am now wondering if voting like crazy for the "older set" just to see you do that, SF, is worth it!!!

I really enjoyed it, seeing Jill and Darren again. Stephanie stood out tonight she is so funny some of the words she came out with, love her. Kelly is driving me coo coo already and thats just coz its more bout her and brandan than anything. I didnt know penny only saw pics of her with Rod but she came across really well with Ian, I think Alesha and Matt will do really well, didnt they play the best mis teeq tune ever tonight scandalous woo. erm Kenny is tall for Ola, Gabby can lift her leg high, but I think the married couple thing is going to wear thin and drive me potty. Brian looked ok, Dominic didnt see enough I love Letitia but noooo Rumba first grr she can do it, she has Darren. I want them to do really well. I am even more excited now for next week, bring it on wooo

Cannot wait to see Stephanie on ITT with Claudia Though I fear that she will eat poor Tess and spit her out again I read that French and Saunders thought she was one of the funniest people they had ever worked with

I enjoyed tonight's documentary
Being one of the Vincent worshipper's I was really worried about Stephanie but she seemed more likable than I thought she would be.

I loved her Gabby comment and what she said about Vincent, "he's a honey pie and I'm an old bag"

I really hope they can get far!

Enjoyed this intro..looks like we could have some excellent competitors as well as some duds. Don't know why everyone is going ga ga over Stephanie, when we know she will be a very poor dancer. Didnt Gloria Hunneford make some similar comments.

Funny how there was no mention about the Sunday twist. Heres hoping it is not true.

It's just my general reaction to most things SCD related . Mainly looking forward to seeing my favourite pros again (was highly disappointed to lose Ian so early last year), and personality-wise the celebs seem like an ok lot. The 'wife swap' partnering seems a bit contrived, but I can live with that.
