That annoyed me. They completely bypassed Tash's involvement in series one. I see both her Jill didn't give an interview for the programme, too.

They also said Brendan upset "everyone of his partners" ... didn't upset the first one as far as I know.

Brendan had more VT time on him than a couple of the professionals put together.

John Barnes. The only contestant whose name is Barnes. That was the clue. In football he was known as Digger Barnes because of the Dallas character.

I didn't think they showed very much of Jill, considering how great she was ~ wonder if the beeb are peeved at her for some reason?

I would hope that some of the people who have been underplayed, such as Willie, Brian, Penny and Stephanie do well, in typical supporter of underdogs, pleasing personalities, and proponent of fair play style.”

Sick of the sight of these two already....

The clip they showed of Kelly "acting" in period costume - what was it from?

Can't comment on dancing yet (though I have my suspicions who will be great) but likeability marks for me go to Kate, Alesha and Steph. I did actually find I liked Penny and Kelly more than I thought I would. Love Karen, but not really a Brian fan so a bit torn/disappointed there... Dominic/Willie first to go me thinks...

Oh no, don't like Brian? You are obviously far tooooo young to remember the gorgeous Mr Hopwood in Grange Hill? (AKA Brian!) Anyone else here as old as me

Seems like only yesterday!

The clip was from Hotel Babylon where she made a guest appearance. She was in fancy dress at a party in the scene, not a genuine period drama.

Willie looks like a nice-enough guy. In fact I think even Kenny (which I didn't leave a good first impression before the preview) was rather okay.

But I believe it would be a toss between Brian and Willie and they may have Willie booted out first.

Poor Erin.

Just watched it now.... my thoughts

Kelly:- Really don't like her, and hated how they got the biggest chunk of time. I did have a giggle at her attempt at acting.

Dominic:- Thought he seemed quite nice and up for the challenge.

Gabby:- Meh. Really couldn't care less. She'll run Kelly a close second for my least favourite.

Kenny:- Have absolutely no idea. He didn't elicit any like or dislike in me so I'm pretty ambivalent. Having said that, I'm not an Ola fan, don't like her choreography and she's like Edyta on DwtS in that she makes it all about her.

Stephanie:- Never heard of her before, but she seemed good craic. I'd like her to stay in for the entertainment factor for at least a few weeks. Hope she can dance a bit.

Alesha:- Really liked her! Herself and Matt look like they're getting on well too, although I'd be shocked if anyone didn't get on with him. Really hope she does well.

Brian:- He didn't look too good with the dancing. Can't seem him lasting too long.

Penny:- Surprised as didn't think much of her in the past, but she came across well and looked from the small bit that we saw that she could move a bit. Hope for Ian's sake they're good.

Kate:- I think she could be entertaining with Anton. I know some posters don't like her but I thought she seemed ok.

John:- Hope he can do well as Nicole deserves a chance to show what she can do but he looks a bit bulky at the moment.

Letitia:- She's lovely but seems to lack confidence. Hopefully Darren will work wonders with her.

Gethin:- Didn't know him at all but he's cute. Could do ok, but I hope not, I want Camilla off my screen as soon as possible.

Matt:- Similarly to Gethin, but I like Flavia so hope he does well.

Willie:- Not sure, think he could be an early exit, particularly if he has Latin first.

Looking forward to it now.

Have met Willie in Sheffield at the World Snooker Championships years ago. He was more than happy to take time out and spend time talking to me and a few friends - thought him to be top bloke.

But I'm with SCD. Expect him, in all likelihood, to go on Sunday. But if by some miracle he survives this Sunday, he'll have another two weeks before his goose is surely cooked.

Erin will do her utmost, but even she must realise that she's not going to match her previous final appearances this year with Willie as her partner.

Talking about Ola and Edyta - I have a useless fact for you. Edyta and her husband (and fellow DWTS dancer) Alec Mazo started dancing together and dating when they were introduced to each other by a mutual friend at Blackpool...The mutual friend was none other than James Jordan!

It's a small world!

The SCD Preview really showed up Alesha well. She's positive, curvy and looks good with Matt Cutler. Seems to have a lot of fun doing their rhumba training. 'Oooo Matthew!' she gushed when Matt made her bend backwards. Truly funny!

Another couple I would like to see doing well would be Flavia and Matt the actor. Their onscreen chemistry is unmistakable - they really seem to like each other's company so far...

Penny and Ian. Penny looks like she can swing her hips really well.

Gabby, though I hate to admit, does look really good with her ballroom posture with James and they seem to have already nailed their quickstep. I think this is an amazing achievement. Whether I like her or not I think she does seem to have the ability.

As for her husband, I think he looks rather robotic. Don't know how the judges are going to pan him actually... Maybe he'll be like Matt Dawson - a slow starter but shone towards the end. One only hopes he can last that long...

Dominic and Lilia look like a fun pair too. He's self-deprecating but admitted at being competitive and may resort to cheating to win (tongue-in-cheek), but I think Lilia's excellent choreography will help him along to week five at least...

Stephanie looked classy and has a dry sense of humour. Vincent looked a little like the rabbit caught in the red light in her presence but seems to be very caring towards her. Must be the Italian blood in him... 'Basically I can teach anything that moves'... That straight-away broke the ice between them... I will hate to see them go, but I can't imagine her doing jive TBH...

As for the rest of the celebs/pros: Brian's training looked worrying to me. And I didn't see any of Willie's actual dancing in his training footage. Letitia looks like she's going to be fragile (I hope she would not turn out to be like Jan I-Hope-You-Are-Happy Ravens).

The only thing I saw of Gethin was his falling out of the frame! Can't say much from that, but I am sure a lot of girls and ladies will be voting for him, never-mind if he has two or three left feet...

Kate and Kelly have very distracting assets bouncing in front of them. Well, to be very honest I didn't see any training footage of Kelly to even comment (though there were a lot of interview footage of her). All I can say is she's a very bad actress (!) from the VT of whatever clip they've shown of her. Kate didn't seem very comfortable in her training but I hope to see more of her and Anton especially in their ballroom dances.

John Barnes talks a lot and seem to be able to do some 'rap', but can he dance? Will he be like Peter Schmichael? He looked a little hunched when doing the cha cha cha moves with Nicole but I wish him well.

Who else did I miss?

Quite like Kate Garraway, Gabby really annoyed me espec with the husband and wife thing - hopefully she won't be in too long. Felt there was a definite overplay of Kelly (don't mind the Brendan overplay tho ).

Think Stephanie Beacham is going to be just fantastic loved her comments re her age against vincents the technical terms and THAT Gaby comment.

In my humble opinion me thinks possible Willie THorne to go first or perhaps John Barnes - out of the womwn I wouldn't like to say they all seem pretty strong based on what was shown on Saturday

But got an open mind and all will be revealed very shortly now

I like her being classily catty about Gabby!

But let's be honest, if she's doing quickstep on the second week, I seriously cannot see how she's going to do well... If Letitia didn't get her insecurity sorted out by week two, she and Stephanie might well be doing the dance off. Can you imagine Steph doing the quickstep again and still keep up with the energy???

But I hope to be proven wrong. I really like her and Vincent. Odd pairing, but from the VT it somehow worked out well...

I had a good giggle at that comment. Steph is a scream, she'll survive a couple of weeks, especially that she's got Vincent.
