Do any men enjoy clothes shopping?
. . . . 'coz this one certainly doesn't.
![]() I usually avoid getting new clothes until even I am forced to concede that my old ones are rather past their best. However, circumstances demanded that I get some new clobber last week. I checked out some shops on the internet and decided what to buy. Then went to the actual shops to get them. Of course they either didn't have the ones I wanted - or had them, but in the wrong sizes. This forces you to make decisions on the spot about what will match with what. Not one of my strengths. If you find a rack of trousers which look the part then they will have waist sizes 28 to 34 and 38 to 44 - not the size 36 which a slightly tubby person like me requires. Even if they have the waist size the leg lengths will be wrong, which means getting longer ones and getting them altered. Likely looking jackets/coats seem to come in S or XL. Which you try on just in case they've marked them wrong. Some shops, e.g. Marks and Sparks, have labels on their stuff saying "Intelligent label for stock control", however they don't seem to make much use of the system. In the end I only got the stuff I really needed at the time. Will have to face the shops again shortly, grrrrr.

Nope, detest it. I very rarely buy new clothes unless I have to (i.e. the old ones are worn out.)
I think this is compounded by the fact that I'm tall and slim and nothing seems to fit me properly. The only things I buy regularly are socks because my washing machine seems to eat them - I put a few pairs in and I get a handful of odd socks back out ![]() ![]()

No I hate it I really can't be bothered with trapsing round for hours looking for the best deal. Just buy the first thing I see and have done with it.

MY OH does his clothes shopping online. He buys his own jeans and boots and I'm allowed to replenish the knickers, socks and T-shirts at Christmas time.

So does anyone know where I can buy long-sleeved shirts that will actually fit me? Every shirt I buy either fits me in the sleeves but is too big for my body or fits my body but is way too short in the sleeves. Life is difficult for us non-standard body types.

I love it, I could shop all day and night. Makes me feel good inside and outside.
![]() Though there is one small glitch... I don't like shopping without money, so give me that first and I'll be a happy boy.

Love it. Best when you have loadddddssss of money though.
In my experience, men hunt, women browse. ![]() I've been shopping several times with girl friends who flick through the racks and go "Mmmm mmmm mmmm aaahhhh mmm" and take forever. I enter the shop with a mission... "No, no, no, too bright, too bland, nasty, no, no, no. Yes, yes yes, no, yes, yes..."

. If i do want something though i just go to Next. I certainly don't go trudging around shops.

I like nice, tredny, preferably designer clothes but at the same time I hate shopping especiallyin high street stores. Trying stuff on is irritating. With specialist places its less stressful although online is the best.

I don't mind general shopping, but I'd never admit it.
But clothes shopping is a no no. I'm in and out the shop as fast as I can and I don't think I've ever been in a shop that only sells clothes. |

Hate shopping for clothes for myself and like others on here, only when they sort of all fall apart do I feel the need for clothes.
On the other hand I dont get my wife. She'll shop for clothes and drag me with her. When I suggest clothes for her she normally just tuts or walks off to another bit. She'll say things like "that wouldnt suit me" or "shows too many bumps etc" I'm not so sure.....and cant for the life of me work out why she doesnt just take a pile of these clothes into the changing room and try them anyway...it's free to try. worst bit though....if we're together she never takes her bank card with her so I have to go to the counter with them. (joint account though) Also How do you answer her when she says "what do you think of this on me?" ![]() Anyway, going off subject, I hate clothes shopping |

I enjoy it when I'm in the mood for it.....
If I'm not in the mood for shopping of any kind, but I have to do it, then I get really bad tempered and feel like shooting everyone that pushes into me, or invades my personal space.
