I don't know if anyone else has posted about this but when i searched i couldn't find anything but ....

I formatted a hard drive in FAT32 with a mac and then loaded some avi files onto it . put the drive into an extenal case and plugged it into the Philips 5960 USB socket and was able to watch the AVI's via the dvd player on my new Panasonic tv via HDMI and upscaled to 720 res, and on the better encoded discs the picture was equal to dvd it is the dogs, one thing i noticed was that some of the filenames were corrupted, but it made no difference to the pics, i also put a 2hour 40min avi onto the drive and although i haven't watched it all the first 30 mins played perfectly
