Snap tomato sauce flavoured crisps.

Beer Flavoured pint shaped jelly sweets, not seen them since I was a kid.

OMG, Cabanas. Now I'm hungry for something I will probably never have again. Thanks, guys.

My input: Farmer Giles crisps. Little piglets (bacon flavour?) that imploded when you sucked them.

And around the same time (early 80s) some delicious seashell-shaped crisps. Can't remember the name (Seashells?) or the flavour (seafood? salt & vinegar) but somehow remember the texture being divine.

Remember what they say, though - memory does weird things to the senses. If they brought any of these things back, they probably wouldn't taste as good as you remember (and not because they've changed the recipe !).

But Wham Bars have definately shrunk. And Curly Wurly. And the chocolate doesn't crack off Curly Wurlys when you bite them any more, which is wrong.

Look what I just found on the Cybercandy (www.cybercandy.co.uk) website:

"Virtually from day 1 when we first opened our doors people have been asking if we can source Creamola Foam or a similar product. Sadly Creamola Foam is no more, but we've found a similar product which fits the bill. Just add a sachet of Brause Ahoj! to 200ml of icy cold water to make an instant fizzy drink. Comes in a pack of 10 sachets".

Where? I've not seen them on sale in years, you used to be able to get a couple of packets of tomato sauce snaps in a multi pack with bacon fries and salt and vinegar sticks, but they've stopped doing those too grrrr

Does anyone else remember edible gooseberries. They used to come into season for a brief time each summer. They must have been very sweet because we used to buy them instead of sweets. I only ever see sour cooking gooseberries on sale now. What happend to the 'dessert'
gooseberries?

I am talking abpout the sixties here. Vintage.

Cheese and tomato flavour puffs! - What I'd give for a packet! - And remember you used to 'drink' them? I also used to have the salt and vinegar flavour in with a beef paste sandwich!

And jubblies - do you mean the frozen drinks? That you'd turn upside down and hack at with a teaspoon?

Pretzel Flipz.

Mentioned earlier in this thread by me and others.

They are simply the best chocolate product ever!!!

You can still buy them from http://www.cybercandy.co.uk who have shops in Covent Garden and Brighton if you want to save postage.

They did and I believe still do. I had a pack about 3 years ago. Very hard to come by, I found them in a rock club in London, never seen them since though. But then haven't been back to the club...

Raspberry flavoured sherbert fountains were great and even had red liquorice sticks.
I also loved Callard and Bowser's toffee and their dessert nougat (wrapped in rice paper, quite posh but lovely)
I really liked Midnight Mars too, although they were quite sickly.
Anyone else like Mintoes?
They were square shaped chocolate covered mint creams, like munchies but with mint instead of crunch

Chipmunk Cheese & Onion Crisps
KP Beef Crisps
Walls Ice Cream - Heart (like a choc ice on a stick with a strawberry sorbet streak through it).
Walls Ice Cream - Midnight Mint (the best mint choc ice ever)
Walkers Beef & Onion crisps (the new Steak & Onion are dreadful).
Instant Whip - Lemon flavour.
Angel Delight - Tangerine flavour (low sugar).
Orange & Lemon mousse.
Fry's Fruit Creme bar (lots of votes for this it would seem).
Beef Wotsits.
Walls Arctic Roll (not the cheap own brand supermarket specials).
Chocolate ciggies in edible white paper in a box.
Original Smarties (will not buy the "new" ones - horrible).
Ditto Revels.

Ah now, there are tons of Angel Delight flavours I used to enjoy that they don't make now. I incluide: peach, fruits of the Forest, ButterMilk, Mint. It's a nightmare even trying to get raspberry these days!

Pretzel Flips, THANK YOU! I LOVED these! Pity they are £1.50 for a tiny bag now which probably only have about 10 pretzels in it!

A good alternative is to buy some Nutella and the pretzels out of most supermarkets, (or the pretzel sticks out of Lidl which are the nicest tasting) and dip them in. Careful! Don't get carried away or you'll find you have eaten an entire jar of Nutella in the space of 30 mins
