Thanks
i'll look out for Tridant Splash .

They'd very likely be the same people. They were little hollow pig shaped crisps. My mum actually bought me an entire box of Piglets when I was a kid.

The flavour was near identical to a recent edition of Mini Cheddars cheesy beans I think they were called.

Ah, yes - forgot about those! Seashell shaped crisps. I think they were called just Seashells. Pretty sure you used to get salt & vinegar. The flavour was sometimes built-up inside the curve of the shell, which you would lick out.

Those Rocket ready meals they used to do at railway stations were pretty good before the firm disappeared.

M&S's "Cook!" range is very similar, though.

That reminds me of Choc Dips, where you had biscuit fingers inside a yoghurt type container and a small amount of chocolate or toffee to dip them into.

Not sure if you can still buy them, but my mother (who used to buy me them religiously as a kid) bought me some about a year ago.

I'm nearly thirty and my mum still buys me sweets!

Does anyone remember the Pink Panther chocolate bars of the late 60's early 70's. They were a thin pink bar (very like the Nestle Animal Bar) with a Pink Panter molded on it and had a very sweet taste. Can't remember what the taste was off but remember I loved it.

Also the Milk Tray Chocolate bars, probably about 8 Cadbury Mik Tray selection joined together in the shape of a chocolate bar. The lime barrel was my favourite. - very expensive at the time, a rare treat.

Peanut brittle is not as readily available as it used to be. Is that because it contains nuts???

Pink Panther bars were lovely - I think they tasted mildly of strawberries.

OK - thread is too long to read all the posts, has anyone said Ice Magic?? That chocolate sauce that went hard when you pour it on cold ice cream.

You can get a similar thing in the States called magic shell but of course it is yucky American chocolate so not the same at all.

I was going to buy a bottle the other day, but then read the label ad realised the missing sugar has been replaced by sweeteners.

This is rather naughty as some people who wish to avoid artificial sweeteners will not read the label.
