Helloo - Simonette reporting for duty also, having only just realised this thread EXISTED!!

I've exhausted my opinions on the V&S pairing elsewhere (ad nauseam) and/but will of course be voting to keep them in as long as humanly - or humanely - possible!

Both of them were hilarious on ITT,I loved all the training clips.
I was laughing my head off when Stephanie said she thought the dance was "ghastly".
I need to get phone credit as for the first time in reality TV history I will vote.
They have to stay!!!!!!

Hey everyone - just adding my two penneth - although I'm not saying anything new, cos I totally agree that Stephanie and Vincent were completely fab on ITT and definately add something to the Strictly line - up. I love just how different Stephanie is to Louisa Lytton - they are just completely different characters - and how Vincent deals with her - and its so funny to see the S-V dynamic. (Have to say the professionals get more and more impressive each year with how they change and adapt to each new partner). I'm hoping they stay in a LONG time - and the 'ghastly' moment was the highlight so far for me.

As a new convert to SCD ( from X- blooming had it's day factor) I am no expert on the dancing - they all look fantastic to me but Stephanie had me in knots laughing tonight in her interview with Claudia. Well done to the mature woman for giving us personality and hope she stays in a good while longer

It looks like a case of problem casting. Stephanie will be hilarious if she stays and looks pretty competent too - the but though is that all the girls look a lot better than almost all the boys and a girl has to go on Sunday. They should have either avoided having all the girls up or not over-egged the pudding by putting so many good girl dancers in one series. Usually you find some weak contestants who are there to go early, but its a nightmare on Sunday finding any girl who wouldn't be a big loss to the show.

Stephanie and Vincent had me laughing a lot last night. They are brilliant. I hope they stay in as long as possible; the banter is pure class.

Don't think Stephanie and Vincent will win but I do hope they stay in for a long time to come. They are both hilarious and make a great team. Hope the viewers agree and keep voting for them.

What a smack in the face that would be for all the people insisting that Stephanie is crap/past it/egocentric etc.

hi WelshieRachel!

you wrote:

I don't particularly think people have INSISTED that she is all the things you listed - I just think that people are worried for her that she won't be able to cope with the physical elevations that the other younger girls will be able to achieve.

Its just a fact that when you are in your 20s and 30s you are a damn sight more flexible and "bendy" than you are in your forties and upwards (sadly I know lol!).

This is what I personally am worried about for her, in a competition where the majority of the other girls are just so good. And so much younger - she will find it truly hard to compete with them through no fault of her own.

I am 44 now and used to do ballet - until recently I could get my leg behind my ear - now I confess I am finding it physically harder! but whilst I don't like it, I have to say that it is because I am getting older!

I am a huge Vincent fan and am TRULY warming to Stephanie - I really want them to win like you!

but I do think honestly that she might have a few more problems than the others, if the judges are judging the dancing as a true COMPETITION.

Which brings up another discussion I guess:

I loved it better on Strictly when you got a greater range of people - some of whom maybe weren't that good at dancing - say like Matt Dawson for example - and through sheer hard work and listening to what they were told, came through and made a good fist of it..........

Although I appreciate all these truly gorgeous girls being good at dancing and love watching what they can do - I just feel this year they've put in too many who are good anyway............and I would have liked it better if there had been a few more who needed "shaping" a bit more - to me that is more what the show is about. And what I would personally prefer.

I think they should also have put another Stephanie-type in there as well so she isn't the only one in her genre. All the others are pretty similar to each other.

is only my opinion and not meant to upset anyone.

And, WelshieRachel - like you, I shall be voting like hell for Vincent and Stephanie to win!

wouldnt' it be amazing! would be very happy!

Let's hope they do it!

have a good day everyone.

love x TangoQueen x

Me too !! *Positive vibes, positive vibes, positive vibes .......*

Btw - talking to a friend who's a 'normal' (ie non-obsessive ) SCD fan who was saying how she dislikes the fact that nearly all of the female celebs are likely to be really good from the outset, with little to choose between them, and she feels it detracts from the essential joy and fun of SCD - seeing people improve and shine over a period of time. Reckon I agree!

I agree too

Hopefully Stepahanie and Vincent can take advantage of that and surprise people.

I suppose most viewers are expecting Kelly, Alesha, Penny and Gaby to be good so hopefully when Stephanie dances the audience will be more inclined to pick up the phone because it was a pleasant surprise

Hello SM - that is the general vibe in my office - there is infact there is a sway to supporting the guys esp Will Thorne I too agree Kelly has I believe been in a West End show - dancing and Gabby is a trained gymnast -if they can't pick up dancing quickly then heaven help the rest of us

Just want to say am loving S&V cracking partnership - might put some votes their way tonight
