Freeview into VCR
VCR into TV scart 1 DVD into TV scart 2 Which TV scart is up to him as you find that 1 scart is RGB, the other SVideo (and doesn't switch 16:9 or 4:3) - but as he doesn't know how to wire it up, I don't think it would make any difference! Regards |

Since both the DVD and the Freeview each have one SCART only I suggest buying a SCART switch box. Get an RGB one and this will let him watch both Freeview and DVD via RGB whilst at the same time allowing him to record off Freeview in composite (all the video will do anyway).
Units with only one SCART are often cheaper but they make connecting things up more difficult, the SCART switcher will work ok though. |
