Good news.

It's strange knowing that Spielberg and Jackson will have viewed The Empty Child/Dr Dances, The Girl In The Fireplace and Blink. They must have been impressed.

I wonder if any of them are fans of the old or new series?

I'd be suprised if neither had seen at least some of the old Who, especially Spielberg who has a few sci-fi bones in his body. I'm sure both know who the Dr. is and who the Daleks are. I doubt they are 'fanboys' though

Spielbergs Amblin Entertainment were behind plans for Spider Daleks, to appear in the McGann TVM weren't they?
There's a synopsis somewhere online, of what they had in mind if a full blown series had got off the ground in the '90's.

Yeah, it was Spielberg who brought the rights for Doctor Who to the US in the 90s though (and my memory of details is hazy) I believe he went off the project a bit and let Seagal take the rights with him when he went to Universal.

Dunno, if RTD's still doing the show til 2009/2010, then Moffatt would be done with Tintin by then.

I wonder if any of the cast of Press Gang might make a cameo, in said movie....
(Anyone for Dexter Fletcher and/or Julia Salwatha as either or both of Tinitin's Parent's, abeit in flashback....?).
